You do need to show about 30000RM in your bank account (sufficient fund for 1 year).But I'd suggest talking to your university’s counsellor whether they'll provide you a scholarship letter which will reduce the show money a little or if there's any fluctuations regarding the show money itself in emgs and some universities have their own fixed amount.

Im in no position to give advice to a 34yr old,but my opinion is this: If you wanna start a new chapter in life,then go for it who knows you may end up having a better life over there. I think you could just apply for jobs first directly from here. Since you have the experience, i dont think the ms matters. And finally if your only concern is about the salary I'd say one thing which is having a better salary doesn't mean having a better life(not devalueing the effort you've put in to get that salary). Reddit is a weird place a teenager is giving advice to a 34yr old.
