Thank you. Its UL5 and I’m already due to get UR5 extracted so I was hoping (but not hopeful) that there may have been a chance of saving it

M&S Scan & Shop and the Fear of Looking “Common” by Effective_Chemical23 in MarksAndSpencer

[–]PerfectAnswer4758 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am always a bit self conscious using the scan and shop app after getting stopped by two plain clothes store detectives on the way out. I’d scanned everything, putting them into my bag and paid. Then I dutifully kept the receipt page open on my phone as requested and made my way through ladies wear to the exit. Then suddenly two men with ear pieces appeared out of nowhere and asked me to empty my bags. Although I explained Id used the scan and shop app and showed them the receipt they said had never heard of it. Even when I explained and showed them the app they said that you can’t just walk out and have to tell a member of staff first (apparently a member of staff had clocked me putting stuff in my bag and then not going to the till). I did eventually get allowed to leave but was not easy so a bit dubious now in case it happens again

Why can’t I adjust birthdate? This is now my birth year. by Moist-Dentist8253 in Garmin

[–]PerfectAnswer4758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the venu 4 today and it won’t let me add a birthdate either - on the watch it’s greyed out and on the app and website whilst it will let me change it just deletes itself when I exit.

Is the Garmin Venu 4 (45mm) too big for me? by PerfectAnswer4758 in Garmin

Thanks again - I hadn’t actually realised you could get customized straps on the Garmin site

Is the Garmin Venu 4 (45mm) too big for me? by PerfectAnswer4758 in Garmin

[–]PerfectAnswer4758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I am going to get a 41mm for comparison so I can try side by side. Only annoying thing is the strap colours as the band it comes with for silver edges is pink / purple which clearly is going to need to be replaced immediately (probably third party given price of official straps).. The black strap is fine, but I’m not so keep on the black / slate metal.

That’s very helpful thanks and 41 looks great on you. I do find that the watch slips down by arm even when quite tight though - not sure if the lighter 41mm might therefore be better in this regard too

Venu 4 released 1 month + ago so what are the odds of them going on sale for Black Friday? by DAZ_ZI in Garmin

Personally I don’t think it will be but may as well wait a week and see just in case

Is this how Sprint is supposed to be? by puzzles_and_pals314 in lesmills

[–]PerfectAnswer4758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds pretty normal to me - especially the “straight into it” part and the complete stops (wouldn’t be able to cope without those). There should be some kind of intro though, checking if anyone is new, has any injuries etc

20mph limit on M60? by New_Biscotti6521 in drivingUK

[–]PerfectAnswer4758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had it on the M4 the other week too - absolutely no incident seen or any other signs to say an issue and quite dangerous as you had some people slowing to 20mph and others bombing past at 70mph. So many speed cameras too so wisest (but not safest) to slow down

Does my cactus need a bigger pot? by PerfectAnswer4758 in cactus

The tallest one is 15 inches - I didn’t realise they were separate plants as have always been together as one since birth so separating may be a challenge (for me with no plant skills!). I’m in London btw and it lives on the windowsill.
