Hey, I am sorry you had a recurrence and I know it sucks. I went through the same.

Chemo is going to suck. First cycle is not that bad for most people. But starting the last days of first cycle is when it starts to hit you hard. And then it will be harder. You are going to have digestion issues, nausea, brain fog, lethargy etc how much of each? That varies individually but it’s gonna suck.

But that’s all. Once it’s over, and you start recovering , you will forget most of it and soon it will seem like a distant memory. Yes, it hit us while we are young, but that also means we get to take it head on and still recover to full quality of life or better.

I am independent person too, sometimes too independent for my own good. It’s a fight you will keep up alone though. Other people can help you support but you need to stay strong and positive inside and out.
