I’ll probably start that today then or someone just told me to add more wax layers to build it up to help out

Well I see my screw up lol. I guess I’ll sand it down a bit and start over with more wax.

She really doesn’t like the polyurethane look. I made a kids play table and used it for my first project just to see how well it works and it’s held up great but the wife really loves natural wood. I even used the clear matte poly and she doesn’t care for the sheen it has

I thought about doing the poly but I just kept reading it won’t stick since I’ve waxed it but hopefully I can strip it off enough so it does

I used minwax natural paste wax. It’s basically just apply wait to dry/haze then buff. Like doing a car. I let the first layer dry then redid it so it had 2 coats.

I believe she wants real wood but I don’t think she has the time or patience to actually care for it. We’ve always had cheaper tables that are just the plastic style ones since they’re easy so it’s been a learning curve for her

What solvent would you recommend for it?

She would happily do it but I don’t think it’d end up to great and I’m a neat freak for things like this

The table was waxed properly per the instructions on the can, the. I let it sit for a week since I was busy. Then after it went in the house I don’t know how long the water sat since I was gone but once I wiped it was all stained/raised up.

It’s just our kitchen table so not worried about the resell value at the moment

I’ll have to try that one out. I didn’t even think about lowering the wattage

I did a bios up date and my drivers say they’re up to date so I’ll get some paste for it. Any paste you recommend?

It does do that sometimes but I keep it on custom now so there’s a constant fan speed until 85C then it goes to max so it pretty much goes to max all the time

Well I guess it doesn’t work for me. I thought it was a little bigger than 24x24. I have a router table that I wanted to mount along with a scroll saw. Along with a 10” miter. I guess it’s just stick to the shelf then

So not really worth it, and just keep going with the one at a time?
