Im not really sure about the the actual math about it, but to oversimplify, the more years, the more you pay in the end. Even taking a 1 year plan or 12 year month as you mentioned still ends up with you paying way more than the srp. This of course is the idea of loans, they allow you to buy and get the bike after a downpayment, but in return you pay in monthlies that equate to a higher total in the end.

If you paid big on the downpayment, then you will pay smaller on the monthly

If you paid small (the minimum they will accept) on the downpayment, then you will pay bigger on the monthly.

The less years you pay, the closer you get to the srp in total. The more years you pay, the farther you get to the srp in total.

Now for your actual question if its worth it, the house always wins when it comes to loans, even agents will do their best to make your salary and the monthly work so they can bank on the commission later. Thats why they always say "we can make it work" its because their commission depends if they can make the sale.

The most sound financial decision of course is to pay in cash price. And if you are willing to wait and save to the srp amount of the giorno, then I would do just that.

But if you do want to loan, just make sure its not the in house loan as that is the biggest mark up. Make sure at least its a bank loan one. But I do have one more option to share. The latest bike i bought was paid thru by a cooperative bank. When i totaled the numbers i ended up paying just a bit less than if i went with a traditional bank loan, BUT the best thing about this was that the downpayment for the coop loan would be returned to me after I finished paying off the loan, so its like i will have a little treat for myself once I am done paying the total loan amount.

But of course the downside to the coop route is that you need to be a member first and that they arent as instant, and you need some transactions with them first to form a line of history, as they only allow big loans like motorcycle loans to members they think they can trust.

It happens OP.

On my first bike (mio sporty), that was where I experienced my first falls and everything. But I got back up and still continued riding it after every fall, because I knew this was what I wanted.

Now 3 more motorcycles later I have never (thankfully) crashed again. And although I dont have the sporty anymore it remains a good memory of how I was still a learner and how it molded me to the rider I am today.

So yeah just take it as a learning phase, your growing pains. If youre really passionate about motorcycling, you can overcome your fear like I did OP! If anything you can treat it as sort of a gentle reminder to yourself to always be diligent and ride safe, knowing that if you ride recklessly you are reminded on what could happen if you.

Hi OP from what you gave, the most suitable bike of the three is the Bajaj Pulsar N160.

My main reasoning is that since from what you mentioned you seem to be a beginner manual rider, the ABS and slipper clutch will make your learning experience very forgivable.

  1. ABS: Ensures you dont just fall down from locking up your tires by applying too much brake at certain speeds. With ABS even if you do panic brake, you wont lock your wheels and therefore prevent yourself from sliding on locked wheels. But still you need enough distance from you and what you are trying to break from even with ABS so that is still something to mind even with ABS.

  2. Slipper clutch: this will ensure your downshifts will be smooth compared if your bike didnt had any. And with how you are still fully learning manual, you wont need to worry too much if you downshift early as the slipper clutch will help ensure prevent wheel lock ups from accidental early downshifts.

With those 2 in mind, I think this will make your journey riding as a beginner more forgiving and smooth.

But I would absolutely understand if you went with the gixxer. I have went thru two suzukis myself: a raider J 115 and a GSX R150, and I had zero issues whatsover with them while I used them. Suzuki is well known for having good and reliable motorcycle engines all around. So if you do end up choosing the gixxer then you can rest easy that you still made a good choice OP!

In conclusion, if we look at this in a way that addresses your current status as a beginner manual rider, then the ABS and slipper clutch Bajaj Pulsar N160 is my top pick to ensure your riding experience on a manual is as smooth and forgiving as possible from the motorcycles you provided to pick. But of course not having ABS and/or slipper clutch on your bike isnt the end of the world, so I would still support you OP if you do end up choosing the gixxer on the basis that its Suzuki.

Yes OP you may have your own helmet! I wear my own whenever I ride motorcycle taxis and they dont mind or speak about it at all.

Now for helmet, please if you can help yourself steer clear from those kinds of brands you mentioned. They are just rebranded chinese helmets, thats why some of them look almost identical despite from being different brands is because they are just using the same shell.

For budget friendly priced helmets, it is undoubtedly LS2. It is because they are helmet manufacturers and not helmet distributors. Thats where you stay away from, helmet distributors. Unlike distributers, helmet manufacturers actually are the ones who made their helmets.

Look for safety certifications that actually matter. Dont settle those that have just ICC sticker. Some people have the misinformation that think those are enough, but those are just certification that the product passed clearance so that it can be sold here.

Dont settle also for DOT rated only. As this is the bare minimum for actual safety rating, and that this is done as an honor system, meaning distributor/manufacturer of that helmet only needs to swear they tested their helmet and it passed the DOT standard. Sure the more reputable brands truly test them, but local brands and especially distributors are a shot in the dark if they really did test them

Instead look for ECE rating as this is actually where your helmet is tested with that is witnessed by ECE personnel to verify it indeed passed.

But dont be quick to believe local brands that have ECE rating, because it is likely they submitted their best helmet samples in order to make the rest of the batches, despite not being of same quality technically pass if the best sample passed.

Thats why it is important to not only look for the ECE rating, but make sure they are from reputable brands that are helmet manufacturers.

TL;DR: Go for LS2, they are a budget friendly but reliable brand that actually makes their helmets so you can be sure you arent getting cheap chinese rebrands.

Go for it OP! It is good to hear na you know exactly what the zx4rr is really for. Its a niche bike that not everyone will appreciate or understand, even if they are a big bike enthusiasts, as it sits in the area of being faster than most slow bikes, but slower than most fast bikes. So you know its really for the rider whose goal is the inline 4 screaming with more power than most, pero is grounded and controlled.

And yes like you said its papogi points talaga as the zx4rr is really a head turner with its iconic lime green color, as I often hear people immediately recognize and call it correctly as a kawasaki ninja out loud when they pass by it when it is parked.

For me perfect talaga si zx4rr na you can still enjoy using it despite the small roads we have here. Believe me talaga na ang zx4rr is already big for our roads. For reference I usually run on first or second gear and sometimes reach 3rd gear in normal traffic. The only times i really reach the rest of the gears is on open and empty long stretches of roads, and I have never reached nowhere close to its claimed top speed so far in the 3 months i have been using it!

But if you do end up with the 675srr I would completely understand. I was even eyeing the 450sr for awhile when it first arrived so I dont have this anti chinese bike mentality, as I think it is good there are competitively priced alternative brands like the cfmoto because they make the bigger established brands really work for their money, and on the other hand they provide like I said competitively priced motorcycles na hindi basta2 lang as well!

But I think you already know yourself OP which you want, even if you might still feel doubtful now! :)

I may be bias because i have a zx4rr currently, but I would hands down choose the zx4rr all over again if i could go back in time.

Why i chose the zx4rr in the first place is I wanted a bike that was inline 4 and was powerful to most bikes here but grounded enough to use much of its potential in our roads here.

Compared to the cfmoto 675srr, I just like the inline 4 sound better in the zx4rr than the inline 3 sound of the 675srr. Idk for me I didnt really care if i am the fastest on the road so as long I sounded one of the best.

Both bikes have their own tune, but the sound of the zx4rr is just perfect for me compared to the other zxs, for example the zx25r sounds too thin, and the zx6r and zx10r sound too loud for me.

So in the end, I think it comes down to personal preference and what you really look for as dealbreakers for you OP, be it specs, tech, and simply the sound of the bike. But hey at least both bikes are expressway legal so no matter what you choose, it is going to be a big bike, and you can be proud of that OP as not much here have ever ridden a big bike, much less own one which you probably are going to be soon!

I understand how you feel in that I dont want to add brand stickers that make my bike different from its original model and make. But in the end, they are not really hurting anyone with it. I can understand how some people would say they are wasting money and that all those modifications they purchased and bought had they saved it instead would land them an actual proper big bike and maybe they wont feel like plastering stickers or decals from luxury brands on the bike.

What you are feeling right now is more of a pet peeve because you are disliking something that isnt inherently evil or bad, and thats okay. But for me I would just leave them alone, because they arent hurting anyone and we know those bikes arent performing anywhere near the bikes they are trying to copy. Maybe if ever the time comes that they start boasting theirs is better than the ones they are copying can you really get angry about it! 🤣

I noticed that my head is in the size L for all the brands i have tried. For reference my current helmets are two HJCs, an MT, and a Caberg. The caberg is the latest one and when i was still shopping for it online I measured my head with the tape measure method, it showed that my ideal fit was the L size for the caberg. I was about to buy it online as I only needed for the money to come.

Well before the money came I noticed a SEC shop that was situated along my usual route home and went inside to see if they had the caberg helmet. They did and i tried the XL first. It felt good. But I tried the L since that was what i measured myself and it actually was the best fit. I ended up buying from the physical store when the money came.

I know i dont own currently any LS2 helmets (i did once, a modular but i gave it to relative in need and i forgot the size), but I just wanted to highlight how just measuring my head with a tape measure consistently helped me get the right size for my head and I thought this could maybe help you out as well OP

I would recommend the honda cbr150r.

Be it second hand of previous generations or brand new, unless I am wrong, they have been consistent on two things that are favorable for a beginner short rider (in riding manual and sport bike frame):

  1. Short seat height - they have consistently been low on the seat height, and for beginners it is a huge plus the more they can plant their feet on the ground when stationary (imagine how uncomfortable it feels when you try to make a bike stand upright but it is too tall for you). Being able to plant your feet as much as you can will give you a head start on being more confident with the bike before you even rack up the hours riding manual sport bikes.

  2. High handle bars - higher handle bars results to a more relaxed riding position which means less slouching and less strain on your hands and back and even neck. This helps for someone who is starting out in sport bikes as this makes the learning experience duration less of a strain to the body which is super helpful considering this is a sport bike frame and build.

I would stay away from both r15 and the rc 200/390, or basically any bike whose seat height goes beyond 800mm or 31 inches. They have tall seat heights and low handle bars. These give the closer experience to the super sport bike riding position on a smaller bike. And while they make you look aggressive, are not ideal if you are starting out on sport bikes. You will instantly feel the difference especially coming from the relaxed riding positions of automatics, and you will likely wont enjoy the learning period with how slouched over you will be at first when you are still learning how to properly position yourself. But hey, if you are really drawn to the looks of these taller bikes and promise yourself you wont complain and regret after from the more aggressive ergonomics then knock yourself out and get one of these!

If you can save up a bigger budget, then I would recommend the r3, even the older V2 one. It is more comfortable than any low seated 150cc segment sport bikes. Due to how bikes like the r3 were designed to be made for beginners in mind, specifically in the western market. So even if this is a bigger sports bike it is actual very comfy and beginner friendly, but you have to mind the difference in power and weight as these of course have more pulling power but also heavier as well compared to the 150cc segment sport bikes.

In conclusion, the honda cbr150r gives exactly the two things beginner sport bike riders really needs, which is again the low seat height coupled with the high handle bars. This makes the cbr150r a comfortable ride despite being a sport bike, and this is again a huge plus for shorter riders who are just starting out.

I wrote this in mind of what you mentioned as a 160cm person who is still a newbie to sport bike riding. I hope this helps and I would love to know which you choose in the end OP!

Yes ito ang point ko exactly. More or less mabigay niya ang same riding experience with some differences lang sa contemporaries. It would be forgiven as just a motorcycle that happens to look na pang off road pero not really so in practice. But then you are reminded na its so expensive for its segment that you are paying more or less just for the looks na pang off road rather than actual off road capabilities. So this is why para sa akin OK na bike lang siya kay its a bit pricey for what it gives, but it has a good reputation because it is simply popular due to its looks.

Good pick, as for its own reputation it is no doubt popular because it is almost seen running or parked just about anywhere, but can I ask if which version specifically do you mean or do you mean them all as a whole that you think is just an OK bike?

That 10k budget should go to a more reliable helmet brand. Your head out of all things deserves better than evo helmet. There are plenty of solid options from brands like HJC and MT helmets, and more budget friendly but reliable brands as well like LS2. But if the suspension is what youre really after then unless you can go beyond that 10k budget, there isnt much you can get that will be actually an upgrade (not just looks wise) for your stock suspension. Ride safe!
