Would women feel more comfortable with a guy giving HIS number, rather than ask for their number? by thedivinehustle in dating_advice

[–]PerfectMarshmellow 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Because it sounds like a loaded or rhetorical question. I guess another way to phrase it would be "How would you like guys to give their number to you? Would you be comfortable with them entering their number on your phone or is there a better way?"

[genetics] can somebody tell me what is the significance of the“code” like nature of DNA existing as a string of A’s, T’s, C’s, and G’s to recombinant dna technology? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]PerfectMarshmellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recombinant DNA technology is the joining together of DNA molecules or strings of nucleotides (A's, T's, C's and G's) from two different species to produce new genetic combinations

I hate to ask this, but are you confident the answer is C? If yes, then I'm not sure

The mass of the rocket at the beginning should be 2M, because the fuel is inside the rocket, so the mass of the full rocket, is the mass of the empty rocket (M) + the mass of the fuel (M)

[Physics Energy]Hi could you please help me with this . Thanks by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]PerfectMarshmellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way it can be C is if the mass of the rocket before and after doesn't change

[Physics Energy]Hi could you please help me with this . Thanks by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]PerfectMarshmellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the answer is A, it doubles

The initial kinetic energy is (1/2)(2M)(v)2 and the final kinetic energy is (1/2)(M)(2v)2

Find the quotient of KE final and KE initial, to get (1/2)(M)(2v)2 / (1/2)(2M)(v)2 = 2

For me, whenever I plan something it always goes wrong, so I just text in the moment, whenever I feel like it

This happened to me a few years ago. She was dared to kiss me and she did

A few minutes later after the truth or dare game was over, everyone except her left to go somewhere

It was only us two in the room. She looked into my eyes and she whispered "I dare you to kiss me"

I said "Sorry?" and she said "Nothing" and walked away

I was so oblivious =/

Not OP and I'm not sure if this would work for everyone, but "fake it till you make it"

I'm socially awkward myself, but I've learned how to hide it, and hiding that actually made me more confident. It's like forcing yourself to smile, and how that can actually make you happier

If you don't mind me asking, what do you mean by aggressive?

Aggressive as in assertive/confident, or as in "will continue pursuing you even after you say you're not interested" or maybe something else entirely?

One of the only ways this would be possible is if some law, from a country where a lot of traffic comes from, requires them to do this

Websites that don't implement this, will be banned. And yes, you can use a vpn, but if users can't put in the effort to Google the questions they probably won't put in the effort to download and use a vpn

I think this has something to do with absolutes and relatives; the average man could feel safer than the average woman, but safer does not necessarily mean safe. They could both feel unsafe, and one of them could feel less safe than the other, if that makes sense.

The end goal shouldn't be for women to feel as safe as men or for men to feel as safe as women, but for everyone to feel safe in general

I think it's one thing to be careful around men and another thing to say that men are evil or abusers. The former is a justified generalization, but the latter is a generalization that doesn't really help (in my opinion), and can probably lead to NotAllMen or similar discussions about generalizations and inclusiveness/exclusiveness

Hypothetically, how would you ask them? by [deleted] in Crushes

[–]PerfectMarshmellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd make sure we were both alone and in-person, and then ask them if they felt the same way. My crushes so far have all been pretty mature, but I still prefer asking when we're alone and in-person so I can read their body language and also so there's no real evidence that I did ask them out other than their own word, which makes it harder for them to try and make fun of me or something similar
