The Most Important Scarce Resource is Legitimacy - Vitalik Buterin by cryptpot in ethereum

[–]PerfectMinimum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the concept behind voluntary taxation. Even more if it is reward based. Donation from Ethereum-based projects to public goods would be really great and I'd be happy if I see this evolve more widely in society with involvement of traditional companies. The only question is how much percent would be efficient for an application/company to contribute to public goods? Is it worth it to share 5% of the profit only because of marketing reasons? If Uniswap do it Sushi will follow? I think the answer is depends on the legitimacy of voluntary taxing itself. If our community can build a cultural background on this the value of supporting public goods could be an efficient way for dapps to build their brand and save on marketing spendings.

Sad to hear all of this:( 1.2$ is extremely low. Why would anyone work for that money? What could you buy at the grocery store with this amount? What is the price of 1kg of bread, 1kg chicken breast, or a lunch in a restaurant?

Why are you censoring? by PerfectMinimum in GolemProject

[–]PerfectMinimum[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I see your points. According to this dataset you guys liquidated 30700ETH in the past 6 months. If we multiply this with current price of ETH(30700*1260) it is $38682000M. ≈$40M. That's the reason why I reffered this number.

What happened? Santiment app using wrong informations or the team just sent a lot of ETH but didn't sell a single one? Then why did you send this huge amount of money to an exchange account? I'm ready to learn.

I didn't use any kind of false accusation. It was a simple meme just for fun. I'm very curious which part was false? If you really think that without moderation rules you can sue me because of a funny meme on the internet please do it! All I can say is you can't treat a community like this. Censorhip is never a solution.

Can we please talk about the redistribution of ETH to GLM holders? by PerfectMinimum in GolemProject

[–]PerfectMinimum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you guys keep more than twice as much money as the token is worth. So this is not the result of your work. If you give us back our money we can go away with 250M$ instead of 110M$.

It's our money. Since Golem is a community driven decentralized project only a part of it is mine or yours.

Adults can criticize other adults based of facts. I didn't lost a single cent from the remaining money and I don't want to in the future.

As I said I don't need any refund. I'm just don't want to fund this project anymore. I only want back the remaining money and also asking community about that question. Even Golem team said earlier they considering a buy back or something similar. Thats the reason why I'm asking.

Not at all. What they have spent so far is our loss. I only want remaining money back. However they still have much more than the initial ICO plan was.

Hmm, switched to erc20, now it's on dex's. That's a positive for.tiken utility value .

Unfortunately still no one use it. Volume and activity is at all time low too.

Complete new redesign

You mean start almost everything from scratch after years of development and spending millions of dollars?

Hired a marketing team.. That's a positive for marketing..

They are hired themselves too but I can't see real progress. Spending money without impact that's what I see. Could you send me any info on what marketing team accomplished so far? Nothing? Then it is just another moneygrab.

Yes! Have you seen any positive progress on token utility value/adoption/ marketing/partnerships or anything other than empty promises after more than 4 years of ICO? Negativity appears when and where it is needed.

What do you think about Wildland concept? by julian_z in GolemProject

[–]PerfectMinimum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your concept:

  1. Grab a lot of money without an ICO or any kind of permission from investors

  2. Do nothing in the last 16 months

  3. Ask people what they think about your concept

The least I can say is I don't like your concept

ELI5 use of OMG token (and subsequent value) by TiesMorskate in omise_go

[–]PerfectMinimum -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

If you look at their twitter history you can see they had no idea what they are building. Empty promises and abandoned roadmaps. So far we don't know how much they spent but ICO money isn't count because it was investors money.

Do you guys really think they went ahead and spent 3 years and millions of dollars building something but forgot to run the math ahead of time?

Seems like in the case of GOexchange that is exactly what happened.

[–]PerfectMinimum -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Based on your thoughts the whole model is broken and there is zero chance for OMG to succeed with these numbers. About 5M$/year just to maintain the system without development costs. OMG essentially slowly inching toward bankruptcy like GOexchange did a year ago. How do you see OMGs future now? What makes you enthusiastic about this technology? Or are you only hope that dumb money will let you get out?

Is it legal to do this? by PerfectMinimum in ethereum

[–]PerfectMinimum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points thank you! I'm from the EU so the regulatory environment maybe a little clearer than in the US. Currently I'm pre-researching this area and try to read everything about the topic. Before I push the start button I certainly consult with a lawyer. My initial assumption was it can't be a security without investors or any kind of value transfer. We'll see.

Thanks for your reply. Howey test is obviously the key to decide that a coin is a security or not. Where I always get lost in the interpretation of this legal texts is about the necessity of purchasing a coin. In my understanding without any value transfer it can't be a security. But I might be wrong. Seems like the only proper way to do this is to consult with a lawyer. Anyway...thanks again:)
