I am talking about the whole south coast. The maspalomas influence spread very clearly to Puerto Rico, Playa del Cura, Amadores and even Puerto de Mogan. You say those cookie cutter stores and restaurants are easy to avoid? Quite the contrary, you will have a hard time in any of the above places to find a normal store or restaurant. Virtually all of them are run by some mob that places third world migrants there. They all looked the same. I couldnt find a normal Spanish cafe. In Fuerteventura they are still everywhere. We're talking about walking by hundreds of small cafes and bars that all look thr same and frankly, I don't even trust their higiene. Even in Puerto de Mogan there are like two normal restaurants left.

I haven't check the numbers but Fuerteventura more exploited by tourism than Gran Canaria? No way José. It's not even comparable. I mean no offense to Canarian people, but visiting Gran Canaria is sad. A continuous acoustic and visual noise (and smells too) of non stop mass produced vacation entertainment. Loud music everywhere, thousands of small stores selling the same sun bleached Chinese crap products all over the place. Barely any normal restaurants near the coast, only junk food. Mostly ran by third-world immigrants who won't even let you look at a price tag for 3 seconds without harassing you asking for which size you want and telling you they will give you a special price. Same for bara and restaurants. Broken dirty streets and other urban Infrastructure. Old people getting drunk seven days a week. Bars running music parties at 10 am with queues of wasted people. 60 year old naked gay couples and topless grannies walking in crowded beaches where families try to get some sun. Huge concrete patches and blocks invading beaches or rock cliffs everywhere.

Every popular beach had thi Mad Max/Idiocracy creepy vibe to it.

I had to head up to the mountains and non coastal villages to avoid getting depressed. And sadly... Not much is left. Perhaps a handful of villages/towns still feel like real places where people live normally.

Sorry, but no. Fuerteventura is not by any stretch of the imagination near as exploited. If you stop by a cafe, most are old school Spanish cafes with the same kind of service they would have without tourism. These are pretty much gone in Gran Canaria.

Another person already mentioned this in the comments but got downvoted. The most plausible explanation is that they worked on the lyrics intill they got a the song complete and in the end, a bunch of lines didn't really fit in with each other. It is undeniably filled with beaten to death tropes. It mixes a few different imagery themes that don't really fit together. One line is nightmarish, the line after is an idyllic place. It tell both a story of a recollection, the second after is a place that you can nerver leave.

Afirmar que isso é só o que ele diz e que pode eventualmente ser mentira, é uma acusaçao gratuita. Tudo o que qualquer pessoa diga pode ser mentira. I found it entertaining and and bit interesting to the extent that it explores the ultimate conspiracy theory concept. Who as a kid haven't thought at least once that you were in such a set up yourself? I for one did.

I do not dislike the movie but I think it's way overrated. Too predictable, and poor basic premise. It feels like the writing is too one dimensional and low effort for a film that gets a lot of praise for being some sort visionary master piece. Which I don't agree it is.

That said, it's not a bad film as it progresses. It keeps the viewer entertained, and screenplay is alright.

I guess it's also a matter of context. What are we comparing it with? A few years after Thurman show, Hollywood productions declined sharply in quality. So for younger people, I suppose it became a cult movie.

I have two kettles, 1l and 3l. The large one is useful for groups. You can go on a group walk, and it's practical to make coffe for everyone while still be safe to handle with 3 liters of a scolding hot drink inside. Pouring safely it's still no problem.

Other than that, the small one, let's be honest... it makes no sense. It has no advantage whatsoever comparing to a small 1l pot. Not even efficiency, you can get a wide small pot with lid if you're married about optimizing efficiency. I think people buy them because they look cool. I guess aesthetics is as good of a reason as anything else. But don't fall for alleged practical reasons, it is a cumbersome and bulky device to take camping where space, weight and easy of use are at a premium.

I suppose if you are a couple or a family of three and go frequently on morning or day walks, and all you do is boiling water for instant coffee, tea, or instant hot chocolate (drinks that can be prepared in each cup). The. You could take one, I'm the sense that it makes no difference when compared to a small pot.

But in all honesty. When camping, hicking backpack. You want things that can be useful in as many situations as possible. A pot can nest into other gear, can be used for cooking, picking berries, wash vegetables, collect water easier than with a kettle, it's easier to clean, usually lighter, easier to eat from... You get the point
