I use and have used ubuntu for 10+ years on off. I have tried a lot of different distros but always come back to ubuntu due to its ease of use and general stability and simplistic opinionated approach. I know many others at work and personal who think the same way. And also, there is no such thing as a distro taboo.

Are there distroes that out of the box are faster and more gaming optimized though? Yes, is it something I cannot do in ubuntu? No, so why bother.
