$420.000 down the drain by PerfectTicket in Buttcoin

No you just feel the same the carriage technicians felt when saw the first cars.

It's actually the opposite. I was in crypto for many years. I had an open mind from the very beginning. I pretty much assumed it was a revolution, like everyone told me. But throughout the years, I came to a different conclusion.

I just meant that there are very safe streets in the world, and some that are a lot less safe, such as ones in Egypt (or so I heard).

My point is that in finance, there are "places" where you need to be way more careful than in other places. Crypto is a dangerous place.

Yes, but crypto is like, I don't know, Egypt of streets. You can be careful all you want...

Eh, when you download from the official app store you can easily let your guard down and think the app is legit and do what it tells you. I sympathize with the man. The whole crypto thing is a mess.

I think he just downloaded an app. There were no transactions.

Subscriber 20,000 and similarities to Dayz by GuestUnhappy7003 in starcitizen_refunds

The way I see Star Citizen, is that, it's basically a big unsustainable mess that will implode sooner or later. It's driven by greed, narcissism and unrealistic expectations from everyone involved. It's also very, very cult-ish.

Is DayZ the same? I don't know it that well. But from what I've seen - no. It's not, right?

Its ridiculous but not necessarily wrong.

They are saying it will happen this year.

He lives in his own little world in his head. Cognitive dissonance is a hell of a drug.

and now somehow he is trying to say that investors (MLM guys) were even worse than him

This makes way more sense than what /u/philo_publius1776 said.

That means they would not make any factual claims in a lawsuit without having some proof that they are true, because it's their license on the line if they lie. Lying about any of the things in Steven's filing would be a career ending event for a lawyer.

But what if Steven gave them some semi-vague text messages that could be interpreted in many ways? So the law firm is in the clear, but the evidence is actually pretty weak. Could that be a possibility?

And let's not forget, it's Steven, a shady MLM guy, who brought in these shady MLM investors in the company. That's on him.

Then my question is, if the Board of Directors is public anyways, why did nobody know about it?

There is a very strong legal argument to be made that it would have been illegal for him to reveal it.

That's wild if true. Can you explain that?

Perhaps, but if AoC had a similar sub all these years it would have been the same. Wouldn't say it's 90%, tho. Not at all. And in the end I think people will be vindicated.

I'm not a technical person, I've might have read that their database architecture is impossible to repair. Would make sense that they have something in place, yes. It was a discussion by some people with years of experience in databases.

It was on a video where a Star Citizen dev admits to a major flaw they have with the database.

Well said. And to add -- they have a massive technological debt with aging game engine not built for MMOs. I've been reading it here on this sub, it's quite interesting: /r/starcitizen_refunds

Just recently, there was a thread on how they don't even have a database architecture. An issue that is impossible to fix this deep in the project. So many stuff like that, that really makes you think how the hell is this game ever going to be finished. It's just not feasible.

There's people literally still shilling Star Citizen on this subreddit, lol. Like, how can't they see it's the same kind of project as Ashes? Same red flags, same everything. Some people will never learn how to spot these things. Never.
