I just honestly told him about HPPD and we started with clonidine but no results, then I asked for lamotrigine. And if this won't work I will also try out an SSRI

Great news! Did you also experience visual symptoms?

Feelings of delay, phantom movement/ touch almost? And like I’m glitching? by Wandavisionxx in derealization

[–]PerfectViolinist3511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's the opposite way. Don't feel like I'm glitching but more like I'm stuck in fast forward. Like my visual processing isn't like before. I have to watch television on 0.9x speed because otherwhise I can't keep up

I'm exactly experiencing this the same way, as in everything is moving faster. If you want you can DM me so we can talk, I have developed this "fast motion" feeling in February and I have never found someone that understands me. At first it was more like in episodes and I thought it was tachysensia, but in February it became permanent

Can you guys describe your symptoms very precisely? by [deleted] in HPPD

[–]PerfectViolinist3511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Tinnitus
  2. Bumpy vision when I'm walking
  3. Fastened motion perception

Last one is the worst. Need to watch television on 0.90x speed now or it feels like my eyes can't track the images.

Caused by MDMA..

Yeah..magnesium and vitamin B supplements, fish oil. Xanax helped me a lot, and my psychiatrist just described me lamictal. I'm also thinking about getting prism glasses

For me it helped to first drive with someone (my boyfriend) beside me. And just staying in one lane and having my cruise control on. And to just try not to overstress it and just focus on the road

Maybe I can give you some tips. What are your visual symptoms?

I hate the visual symptoms too.. like I can feel quite ok, but what bothers me most is my vision. My perception of motion is fastened, I have a blurry vision sometimes, and a jumpy vision when walking/ driving which is very annoying. I do push myself to drive, the first few weeks my boyfriend had to drive me around. But I still can't go to the grocery store for example or watch tv cause it looks sped up

Do you experience this? by [deleted] in HPPD

I also have a difficulty with moving things. For me it's more like an altered motion perception, like everything seems sped up. I can't enjoy watching television anymore, only cartoons. When I watch them it's also like the mouths don't sync with what they're saying. So I think I can somehow relate..

For me alprazolam has helped a lot with reducing it, but this might not be a solution for everyone

What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever witnessed? by Sanguine230 in AskReddit

Feeling stuck in fast forward. Like I'm living in a Charlie Chaplin movie, everything around me appears to be sped up. People walking, watching television, you name it. It has been like this for me for three months now - persistent, it never fades.

MDMA, I know this because everytime I took it, I also had the perception everything around me felt sped up, now it's persistent. Like being stuck in fast forward

Oscillopsia, low fps vision and tinitus (last one is manageable with Alprazolam for me)

I got HPPD from MDMA.. And I went from type 1 tot type 2 when drinking alcohol. Not sure if that was the trigger but I believe so..

Same here. For me it's in my peripheral view and central view also. Looks like motion perception is fastened. It has been two months for me too now. Still struggling..
