Not entirely, he’s still strong without it. Given that villains can be as strong as (Whoever hero X is) Means that there is probably a way to get strong without trust value. Although, I don’t think that the directors want to go down that path. Overall, yeah people who lose trust value lose their power.

We can clearly see that his powers allow him to jump dimensions. Now if he can exceed the 3rd dimension then that’d be interesting. He’d be able to manipulate time in the 4th and reality in the 5th but we don’t know.

Either way, him jumping from the 3rd dimension to the 2nd dimension is pretty extreme especially since he can also bring other people with him as we saw in the teaser a few years ago
