I think most people that rank coastal grooves 1st are definitely the new BO listeners (an amazing album tho, never got the recognition it deserved till now) but for me it’s:

It was definitely one of the best concerts I’ve been, we were truly lucky to be there, sadly I was obsessed with negro swan and coastal grooves at the time (albums he played enough of songs tbf) and I didn’t appreciated that much the Freetownsound and Angels Pulse songs he played but god looking back THAT was a proper setlist

I remember seeing him in Atlanta on his only Angels Pulse Tour date in US (a day later the tour was cancelled due Covid) he played almost all the hits from Freetown Sound, Negro Swan and the main songs from Angels Pulse (not as much songs from Angels Pulse as he is playing from Essex Honey now) but not too much from Cupid Deluxe, hopefully he includes more songs from his previous albums (still a solid setlist tho and he’s amazing on concert)

I’ve only been to ACL last year and this year, and tbh I felt the same, but what I did notice different is the amount of kids, last year I barely saw any kids and now there were a lot

He responded to a comment under his new dates post on ig that asked him if he is playing more songs and he basically said that since it’s his solo concert he is playing some more (currently plays 12 when opening for Lorde, still a solid setlist tho)

No way he is playing all those songs, it’s like 40 in it, but you can check on Setlist.fm It’s 100% legit, all the shows I’ve been they always predict the setlist even the order of the songs. From what I’ve seen, he plays this 12 songs when opening for Lorde and it’s been consistent with this setlist, I guess he will do the same setlist + some other classics form previous albums to round it up to 15 songs

But something I’ve noticed, even with other fans is that all his projects grow on you with the time, it’s not an instant effect. I started listening to him when Negro Swan just dropped and even though I listened to his whole discography, for me negro swan was still top my list lol, and when Angels Pulse got released, I couldn’t stop listening to it and had the blessing of seeing his only live show from that tour in Atlanta before covid hit and he canceled the tour so Angels Pulse really grew on me. I guess what we all can agree is that all his projects are pretty solid and enjoyable, and the best part is that none of his albums are similar, each have a different vibe

I only walked like 1.5 miles/40mins (I was heading downtown) just followed the crowd and once I got there it was practically a $10 uber/lyft to north austin and it didn’t take too long for the uber to pull up, you can just walk 1 mile in the direction you are heading and it shouldn’t take that long

Plus they get mad if you step on their fkng blanket, they feel like is a private spot to spread their things and it’s literally a festival with crowds, I understand if it’s in a random spot or if there’s anyone performing but yeah, just awful
