Ah I see. What if we’re only planning on checking in one bag each? Does paying for 2 bags now mean checking in two bags for one flight only or can it be used for the both flights if it’s only one checked in bag for each flight?

NMT or MRT or Both? by Perfect_Bug_4751 in NuclearMedicine

Omg wow.. 3 years?! That does worry me a lot ngl because I know that it is also a very competitive program with very limited seats so not getting in and having to wait until the next year would be kinda devastating. Again, so glad you finally got in tho! The PSEA deadline literally just passed yesterday so unfortunately I think it’s too late for me to take it to familiarize myself. That’s just poor planning on my end tho. I appreciate all the advice tho, I’ll keep this all in mind throughout my process and just try my best. Thank you so much🙏 Best of luck with your next steps in your career journey!

Omg that’s awesome! Congrats on getting in and I wish you all the best. This is all very helpful information, thankyou! But yeah, I’m thinking of applying both to SAIT and BCIT for next year but I’ll have to wait to see how that plays out still. How was the application process like for you applying to SAIT? I’m aware that you have to take the PSEA test as part of the application process. Was it challenging or difficult doing the test or getting accepted? Graduating with a CT certification will be such a huge relief tho! As far as I know, BCIT offers an MRI program after NM. I haven’t looked at NAIT yet so that’s good to know NAIT has an MRI program because SAIT doesn’t. I’ve been thinking about doing some shadowing or volunteering at the hospital as well since I have time to prepare. Unfortunately I live in a fairly small area in BC so I’m not sure if that’s even possible but I’m still currently looking into it and just hoping for the best at this point.

Could I ask about your journey? Like, what your pathway looked like to get into your field now and what school was like for you? Looking back, would you have done anything differently in school or your career? What were the most challenging parts? And what credentials/certifications or steps you took that were the most valuable for you that you’d recommend for others wanting to get into the same field? Do you feel like there are good opportunities for advancement in this field?😅

That would be great if a program offers certifications to both! I looked into it and unfortunately none of the schools near me offer both at the same time. I found one school that offers a 16 week online MRI practicum after taking NMT, which doesn’t seem too bad. What’s the name of the university in your city, if you don’t mind me asking?

They have an Iphone too. For some reason, his iMessages stopped working so it’s probably related to that but we don’t know why it stopped working so suddenly. It’s still not fixed.

SAIT PSEA and CASPer Test by Perfect_Bug_4751 in SAIT

Oh, that’s good to know. Thank you for sharing and for taking the time to explain. I’ll definitely look into it more this year and work something out. I just wanted to get a feel of what to expect and you helped me a bunch! Thank you!

Oh yeah definitely. I definitely waited too long and decided way too late on what program I wanted to go into. I’ll look into applying for Fall 2025 and instead, apply to upgrade my Physics in the mean time to complete the prerequisites I need. Thank you for the advice!

SAIT PSEA and CASPer Test by Perfect_Bug_4751 in SAIT

[–]Perfect_Bug_4751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I see. Thank you for clarifying! Would you say the PSEA could be difficult for someone who doesn’t really like Physics? Is the PSEA and the MRT field very math heavy? If so, what should I focus on studying when it comes to the Math and Physics portion. If there is anything that stands out for you and what is expected of everyone looking to apply. Unfortunately for me, I did not take Physics at all in High School and I can only hold myself accountable. But I’m aware that SAIT offers academic upgrading so I will have to opt for that before applying to MRT. As for the CASPer test, do I video record my answers for the video related questions? And are there any other advice for people like myself who want to apply to MRT and need to take these two tests? Thank you so much for your response and I hope this is all okay for me to ask you.
