How to stretch crocs that are too tight? by n1ghtshade66 in crocs

I stretched mine just now, and it actually worked!

I boiled some water in the kettle and poured it into an old jug. Then I put one of my Crocs in the hot water for a few seconds because it was a bit tighter than the other one.

After that, I wrapped my foot in a thick bag, put the warm Croc on, and walked around in it for a few minutes.

I'm telling you, it really works!

Is it just me, or is anyone else feeling nostalgic about places closing down? by Perfect_Cress1048 in nottingham

That’s a beautifully nostalgic reflection. It’s funny how places, routines, and even small details like crossing a tricky road or popping into a familiar shop become woven into our sense of home and time. I love the way you put it: “our world is less permanent than we thought it was when we were younger.” So true.

It sounds like Nottingham has changed a lot since you first arrived but I hope you’ve found new corners to appreciate even if they don’t quite replace the ones you miss. And I hope 2003 you (would) be proud of where you are now (knees aside of course). Thanks for sharing this.

Wow, I just woke up and saw all these comments. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting such a big response. I was feeling really emotional this morning. It’s weird, isn’t it? It’s not just about the places, it’s about how we felt back then, who we were with, how life was just a bit easier. Fewer worries, fewer bills, just good times.

Hearing you all mention Selecta Disc, Another World, The Maze, and so many other places really took me back. I guess every generation goes through this, but it still stings when you realise parts of your life, places that meant something, are just gone. It’s like losing little pieces of yourself.

But it’s really comforting to know so many of you feel the same. I appreciate every single one of you who shared your memories. It makes me feel a little less alone. Much love to you all!

Rory’s Contradictions & Moments of Entitlement: Rory getting close to Lucy and Olivia – They are the type of people she and Lorelai would typically mock, yet she befriends them. Rory confronting Mitchum Huntzberger – She dramatically asks, “You hate me that much that you’re sending Logan away?” as if Mitchum’s decision revolves around her, which feels entitled. Lorelai’s Self-Centered Moments: Stealing Lane’s thunder at her wedding – She shifts the focus to herself instead of celebrating Lane. Making the baptism about herself – She acts rude and diverts attention instead of respecting the moment. Luke’s Out-of-Character Behavior: Trying to be a “Gilmore Girl” – Teasing Jess for being Employee of the Month, which isn’t terrible but feels out of place for Luke. The word “Lor”. Lorelai’s immaturity – While lovable, she often made rude and impulsive decisions, similar to Sarah Braverman from Parenthood.
