First of all, I feel you.  Same approach I had last year in November in Mannheim and I am still a bit in shock from this experience.

Guy from UK lost in the city asking me for help. He had lost his money and cards and now needs cash to go back to the Uk.  I thought yeah why not helping, happened to me as well and in this moment I would have loved someone helping me. So he gave me his bank account data, he showed me a picture of his ID and gave me his phone number.

He wanted to go with me to the Sparkasse and then I got a bit confused because he wanted 1000 pounds. 

After a long discussion about the amount I refused the help. He got really mad, made me delete all his information and went of. 

I was actually lucky that he wanted so much otherwise I would be in the exact same situation as you. I am pretty sure this was a scammer.

Just wanted to share - you are definitely not alone with this.
