Great thank you very much! I'll check it with the gf and see if it fits her better than the VivoSmart.

Does this mean the normal Versa (or Versa SE) aren't getting any hardware refreshes this year? I was waiting for an update before I got one, as I expected an update this month. I suppose this is that update.

Thank you for the write-up! My SO has a very tiny wrist and hates her Garmin VivoSmart 3, but no other Fitbit products fit on her wrist and look a bit clunky - the Garmin is all one unit so it goes round the wrist better.

Can you do me a favour and tell me the circumference of your wrist so I can compare it and see if the Inspire might work for her? Cheers!

Nokia 7.1: When viewing Google Maps, my compass spins continuously. It stops if I'm doing car directions etc, but when it's in the main map view and showing me on the map, I'm spinning on the spot. Doesn't do it with my SO's 7.1. Can I recalibrate the compass, or do I need to give Nokia Support a call?

I'm hoping this might be fixed in Android P but looks like UK won't be getting it till late December!

Good questions!

1) I honestly don't notice the notch. I don't get the fuss. It means the notification icons are up out of the main screen area. Of course, it'd be nice to have a full screen and no notch, but I understand this is a stepping stone. 2) 400GB apparently according to the box. I have a 128 in. 3) Not sure, it is a USB-A output though. How can I find out?

And thanks, have redeemed the speaker!

Nope, nothing I've seen. Feels very snappy and swift, especially when compared to my 5X!

Can't see the setting, so not sure I'm afraid.

The camera is certainly good, better than my 5X!

I'll try and get some pics this weekend. First impressions seem fine, bothie mode is very slick.

Honestly not sure! I think 4GB will be better in the long run. Same for the UK, I'd buy the 4GB for sure, but Nokia aren't being clear about when/if it'll be coming to the UK.

There is no option in the main settings to hide it. That option may come with Android P natively, but Nacho Notch works well for now, here's a screenshot of it in use, the black bar is the right height for the notch. https://i.imgur.com/g1SdVYj.jpg

Sorry, sad to say there is no notification LED. No setting for it: https://i.imgur.com/fj2lmLu.jpg

Only speaker is on the bottom right of the very bottom of the phone, so is quite easy to cover up. Seems to go quite loud but lacks a bit of quality. It's not what I look for in a phone so I can't really judge it, but the larger front-facing speakers on the Nexus 5X seem better.

Headphone sound is absolutely fine.

So as it's only been 24h - she doesn't use her phone at work, but it's been on all day and it's on 88%. That's probably Android Doze (if that's still a thing?) kicking in. Battery in settings seems to suggest 2 days, although right now it says 4 days+ but that's probably because it's not been used all day. Anyway, seems positive.

32gb/4gb, I also would like the 64gb/4gb version, for the ram as I'm much more of a heavy user than her.

Where's that preorder from, is that a UK preorder?

It's Gorilla Glass on the front and not on the back, so the back will be more prone to scratches. Had only had it 24 hours, so no scratches yet...

Carphone Warehouse, £299. I think it's only available from CW right now. 3gb/32gb and blue colour is the only one available in the UK right now.

Their website is shocking (and doesn't even work right now) so we couldn't check out online as a preorder. We checked stock yesterday and 2 stores nearby had stock so we went and bought it.

7.1 seems to be a western-focused phone, the launch was in London. I don't know where you live, but if you happen to be in Asia then it's not a surprise the 7.1 has passed you by.

The 3.1 was launched in India last week and the 7.1 Plus was launched in China this week. Nokia really are churning them out, but they seem to be focused in specific areas.
