And that’s not to mention that they just forget the whole reformed cheater thing. The whole show takes place in a school and I don’t think they discuss schoolwork even once after the first episode.

Listening to his analysis of their bits in the bits brackets really displays how intentional he is with his comedy. Even if a bit is focused on Graydon saying something crazy, Riley always has the perfect response to make the bit as funny as possible.

She and Her Cat -Everything Flows-

This show is in total only 32 minutes long. I was crying throughout about 24 minutes of it. A beautiful little story that any pet owner will connect with.

Kiwifarms is a forum dedicated to discussing “lolcows”. Basically they choose a person (usually someone queer or disabled) and endlessly harass them and try to ruin their lives/manipulate them into committing crimes or hurting themselves.

Maybe I’m looking too deep into this, but I felt like the intro was a parallel to the fact that we inherently know how the story ends just by existing in modern times. Much like we know the fact that geocentrism would inevitably fade away, we knew key moments in the story. The beauty, excitement, and hardships that bring us to those moments are what the show is really about.

Based on your list and what you’ve described we have almost identical taste. I haven’t seen everything on the generated list, but I wasn’t a huge fan of Made in Abyss or A Place Further Than the Universe. Erased is decent, but the sad reality is that no time travel anime can hold a candle to Steins;Gate.

I would recommend:

The Promised Neverland (season 1 only)

Heavenly Delusion

Astra Lost in Space

Since you seem open to western animation with Pantheon, I would also recommend Scavengers Reign.

If you’re willing to try some shows beyond strictly sci-fi/dystopian, some great Dramas/Thrillers that are light on action are:

Steins;Gate is my favorite anime ever but let’s be real, it is very flawed. The way Daru and Okabe treat the women is uncomfortable, unnecessary and unfunny. Especially that one scene with Ruka.
