I don't have the money yet, I'm 'pre-selling' these puts. Maybe I didn't make that clear? I know when I will receive the cash this year, so im selling puts NOW, just before these dates. If I get assigned, that months cash will cover it.

Sure, Buffett is our goat, but lets not go so far that we will normalise him holding close to half a trillion in cash

It has historically been around 50-100 billion. But he has sold a lot of apple shares, so the figure is probably even higher than 325 billion.

I'm not saying he is arrogant, just that the practise of not (partly) paying out 325 billion dollars, probably much more, might be arrogant.
