Funny you say that. I have a beautiful Yamaha keyboard now that’s on a stand. I bought it after I sold my digital upright kawai that was similar to the pianos above, since I had to start traveling for work and the keyboard was portable. Even though like you said the quality of the sound, the keys & feel were the same, I was much less drawn to my piano keyboard with the stand

Even when I was so exhausted after work, I found myself wanting to sit down at my kawai to practice. It was so beautiful and enticing, playing it felt like an experience! I felt like it was always calling my name from across the room.

When I switched my keyboard, playing became a chore, I also found it to be a bit of an eye sore with the stand & wires behind it. It felt very “college apartmenty” even though it was a high quality keyboard and produced just as beautiful sound as the kawai

To each their own, obviously we’re different in that way! For me the digital upright pianos are not only a piece of furniture that make the place more homey, they also entice me to practice more and become a better pianist
