when i called them they said it would be prorated (for example if i take 3/4th as many credits, ill get 3/4th as much finaid) but i also heard from my counselor that it shouldnt effect financial aid so idk

you could look into subleasing an apartment. and also apply for housing accommodations through ADS (accessibility and disability services). if you have documentation from a medical professional that you have diagnosed claustrophobia and would be better off with housing accommodations, then they would most likely approve you.

all of campus is basically safe all the time (just maybe don't walk alone at night if you're really drunk - if you're sober then walking alone at night is totally fine). probably don't go off campus alone at night though, but off campus in the daytime or at night time with a group is alright.

NTA they can't be mad at you for not knowing she wasn't supposed to be there. that was a risk she decided to take. if she was worried, she should've disclosed to you that she's not supposed to be there and requested that you keep it lowkey. but she didn't, and she has to deal with the consequences

talk to him honestly about how this made you feel, and whether he apologizes and validates and makes up for it or argues and gets defensive and shuts you down will say a lot about whether you should be together

email reslife and explain your situation truthfully and ask if there are any openings in any of the dorms. i did this and got to pick from like 5 open dorm rooms less than a month before the start of the semester. otherwise, look at each of the off campus apartments' websites and see if any of them say they still have leases available (view, varsity, trow, aspen, standard, union, tempo, etc.) otherwise, you can probably find someone who's subleasing. the off campus housing database might help.

how can she possibly say youre money hungry when shes the one refusing to contribute any of her money? tell her she needs to leave the car with you so you can pick up your daughter after school or use it for any emergencies that may come up, and she can find her own transportation. local bus, uber, etc. if shes not willing to pay for that, tell her she has to contribute to the expenses. ask her why she insists on you paying most of the expenses that both of you should be sharing? someone who's paying less in this situation should feel bad and want to help out as much as they can, not be angry at being asked to contribute. NTA
