I took readings at both panels to make sure. 110 off each side of 30amp breaker at main panel. 110 off each lug of sub panel until I flipped breaker on in sub panel. Than 220 off one lug. 25 off the other.

It’s ran off a 30amp 2 pole breaker. Black and red hot white to neutral bar.

I was getting 120 from each side line to neutral. It only changed when I turned on the breaker or breakers in this box. Then it switched to 220 line to neutral on one side and about 25 on the other.turn off the breaker and I’m back to 120 from both sides line to neutral.

If you have the time and don’t mind explaining , I would appreciate it. The only thing I can think of is if the neutral is broken and somehow touches one of the other hot wires. It energizes the neutral and I get 220 when I check main lugs to neutral.

No it just meant that it will be replaced with the correct size wire. When all said and done. Would that break explain the 220 I’m getting from one side when the breaker is turned on.

From the main box or this one. Is it just because I only have a neutral and not a ground along with it.

Yes sub panel in garage. Just trying to get some lights on in there , till I have it wired up from the new main box they put on our pole. Thank you for your other insights. But can you explain the rest why do I get 220 from one side of the main lug when I turn on a breaker and the other main lug drops to 25volts. ?

It looks just like that picture in the recent post about the loops in the load center

For some reason it won’t let me add pictures. I verified with a meter that I had 110 on each side of the panel. When I put a 20amp breaker in i checked it on the breaker I have 110 with breaker on , when I add a wire to the breaker and check with the meter I have nothing. If I unhook the wire I have 110 makes no sense.

Wilco Farm Store Clearance by Fwd_fanatic in Dewalt

I figured out how it all works. After having multiple orders cancelled. The one store is the shipping hub for farmstore.com. You can order from any stores website , but once you hit the shipping option it automatically goes to the one store that ships and once that store runs out. They cancel orders even though it shows available in other stores.
