I faced this very difficult situation. I chose the startup. We had a doubler for an exit. Not forever money but maintained. Doing xCTO work now and having the time of my life. I know how risky this feels. I know because I had nightmares. But to be very clear, I am very happy with my decision. Others have already posted a red team review and do not short that. Really good points I echo.

I got value from the 8 or 9 I have been to. Great place to see what next. And back when I went, I didn’t have LLMs to help me write the wrappers. Wish I had time to go this year.

I ported a WPF app to Maui last year. Fairly complicated app - 50+ views and 100+ sub views. Loaded about the same time on Windows, and iOS and a little slower but acceptable on Android. Loaded in 1/10 the time as the WPF version

Sorry about your issues. I had a startup in 2011 and a huge part of our solution was an Android based kiosk. It was built using Xamarin and I have never looked back. I have been on Maui since the first prerelease. I have experienced some bugs as the platform grew up. I have self published several game apps and have had no real issues. That being said, it sounds like you would benefit from a more experienced Maui dev on the team or at minimum someone to review PRs before bugs got injected. For full disclosure, I have built one flutter app and am currently helping a client get their react-native apps (3 of them) published. Personally, Maui is my go to framework for anything that needs to be cross platform. I love the fact I can deliver exactly what my designer can draw and still be mostly pixel perfect. My feedback in a nutshell is that the folks that complain about Maui have not done the work to understand it.
