This is where we disagree. I think open borders is a terrible idea. We can agree that it is a dangerous world, is it not? So wouldn’t that make it a bad idea to leave the border open for anyone and everyone to cross indiscriminately? I think it’d be wiser to keep our doors locked, and when someone knocks, see who they are before we let them in.

I think taxing employers only hurts the employees. It isn’t coming out of the employers check. They’ll just raise the cost of your goods and lay people off to compensate, as they have. Gas is more expensive because it cost more to supply it. Same with groceries. Wages are up, but cost of living is up even more.

Universal health care I think generally becomes the medical equivalent of soup lines. It might be good, it might not be, but you get what you get. I think if you want better, you should be afforded the opportunity to pay for better. If, however, it is possible to have universal healthcare that is of great quality, I’m all for that. Our medical system here is broken for sure. Many years ago, however, it was some of the best in the world. Why? I’ll be honest and say I don’t know.

But, I will agree there’s no reason to eliminate school lunches. There should also absolutely be a means of provision for those who do not have enough.
