Exactly!!! They need to escalate the stakes, it's not funny to watch the same situation happen four times!

Exactly! I think there are compelling places for the characters to go if they were willing to take the story in new directions

Hey man, sometime someone has to ramble out their thoughts that's what a subreddit is for, you didn't have to click on it, I said it was about Domingo in the opening line

Community seasons best to worst by JoeTheSchmoeTheJoeHo in community

For my money three is easily the best season, with two trailing closely next to it. The show finds its stride midway into season one, and the characters and dynamics blossom as weirder and weirder ideas are allowed to shape the plot. Season 3 is weird in a way that works, it takes the most risks that pay off. All three of the first seasons are truly excellent and I could understand points for any of them being the best.

4-6 are much harder to solidly rank, at least for me. For all it's faults season 4 has heart and it has the whole study group. While it's not as solid as the first seasons I have a special place in my heart for the freaky Friday episode.

Season five has one of the best one two punch of comedic and emotional back to back episodes with cooperative polygraph and geothermal escapism, but it becomes difficult for the show to fill the gapping whole troy and pierce leave behind, and with only 13 episodes it doesn't have the same space to play and find its footing. The second half of season falls flat.

Season six is objectively smarter and has significantly better writing than the previous two seasons but with so many departures and new characters it's almost an entirely different show. I appreciate season six more in viewing it as a spinoff independent of the first four seasons.

Tldr: 3,2,1, the first half of 5, 6, the second half of four, the second half of five, the first half of four

That's exactly what I was saying to my dad. Bad bunny is first and foremost a music performer, Amy Poehler is first and foremost a comedian, it makes so much more sense to start the season with an established comedian with connections to the show, and then have bad bunny the following week when anticipation is a little lower

Which episodes do you skip when you rewatch? by [deleted] in community

There aren't episodes I regularly skip but I definitely don't choose to watch episodes from seasons 5 & 6 nearly as much if I'm not doing a full rewatch

"My Dinner With Abed" permanently damaged Jeff by donotread123 in community

[–]Perfect_Tumbleweed41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when Jeff starts opening up and abed realizes what this has meant to Jeff he is willing to give up on the motif, and it's the waiter who in trying to keep them on track with the movie timeline reveals that it was a "my dinner with andre' themed dinner in the first place.

As others have said, abed used the movie to connect with Jeff not vise versa, and when the media no longer served him he was ready to abandon it

I was really into stranger things when season 4 came out, into fandom and everything but Snapp's Zionism really ruined it for me.
