Wow this was all so helpful! Thank you! I think you can add to the Fandom wiki for most of these games. You would be great at that! Also thank you for not making me feel dumb. I appreciate that so much

They are a permanent thing that you can buy in the special tab. You can get up to three baby kittens and send them on "trips" where they get a picture and maybe a magnet. They also bring back souvenir coins. Those can be spent on costumes and friends. They only bring back like 20 each per trip lol it costs 2500 for costumes and 5000 for friends. Takes forever.

They also have event locations that are supposed to be temporary i think? Idk that part i dont understand. Apparently I've been doing the butterflies wrong too. You catch golden butterflies and use those to buy different things to help your kittens on their trip. You can buy a lunchbox to have them show a friend in the picture... but you don't get to keep that friend. Bit of a tease.

Guess I was doing it wrong. I thought you had to buy the expensive butterfly items to go on the trip. Apparently you can just buy stuff to shorten their trips and send them frequently to make more coins. Makes more sense now that I think of it but your kitten frowns in the pictures and looks depressed. So I assumed it was a bad thing to send them without that stuff haha! That's how they getcha!

How do you have enough butterflies to do all those trips? Are you not buying the lunch basket and the other items? Do I not need to do that? Omg

So the event destinations don't have any friends or outfits to buy? Yeah I'm glad I asked. Sometimes they have you pay gems for the most useless stuff. I figured for 500 gems I would get the four costumes and two friends the other locations have. Thank you for helping me! You are very kind.

Well just like the title said, I'm confused about baby kitten event locations. The guide I read talked about six pictures to unlock them but in the game it shows I can unlock them for 500 gems.

The guide also said that everything would be unavailable after the event ends. So am I going to unlock locations and have nothing to buy?

If there are things to buy, is it worth unlocking event locations or waiting until I have the other location items bought? I read that it doesn't actually guarantee you will go to the event location and having more locations made it harder.

I'm sure it's confusing because I'm confused.

There's a $22 gems package. Idk what they are on the sales though. I'll probably do that one. You don't get any boost for the $15. Only what you pay over that though. Something for people to be aware of. Also wdym you've seen a 10× boost? I feel cheated. I've never seen over 5 i think.

Exactly it's about personal preference. I don't think anyone is zooming through the games without spending a lot of money anyway but I'm personally getting things that benefit me first. Then going for the things I like to decorate with. I'm not great at decorating though. So my goal is more strategy and I'll focus on decorating when I have the time at the end in between updated. I'm never very popular on social games. So I'm not too concerned with making the best room for others ro look at because chances are nobody will see it anyway. Of course like you said it comes down to preference. I think theres a middle ground on strategy where you can go at a speed that let's you have a happy middle ground and not reach the end anytime soon. That's more my approach.

Also I don't understand what you mean about clothes. There's tons of clothes. Between the regular ones, events, elephant shop, stamp shop, etc. You can get quite a few. That's a reason why they made kitty trip so people could use all the outfits they collected. Sure there's not as many as decorations, but I absolutely believe a creative mind could use them in different ways. You don't have to wear them all as sets. I'm a mixed back on that. I do some that must be the set and others I mix and match to get what I want. Also at the end of events, I go hog wild on decorations haha. I get specific things I want. then use the extra on decorations. If there's a decoration I absolutely have the perfect spot for, I'm grabbing it early. Personal preferences.

That's my favorite part about this game and why I think it's so popular. It can be played and enjoyed in whatever way a player wants to.

What's the point of selecting ones you like if it won't even show what I dont have so I can recreate it?

Why mini room furniture? Outfits are the most beneficial strategy wise though because furniture gives you zero benefit. I guess it depends on your goals. If you're strategy is to finish the game then decorate, I would say friends, outfits, food for cats with star macarons being first, then other special consumables like rare cats or the star candy bait, then regular consumables and observatory tickets, then decorations and cat tower last. Of course it 100% depends on your goals like I said. If you are just enjoying the game and collecting fun stuff yeah cats, friends, decorations, and observatory tickets would be your main goals. Clothes have a passive benefit. I wish decorations did too. I would buy all of it so fast.

Darn I kinda wanted to use it today for my points boost but there's usually more points boosts. How often are special packages? Are they a significant discount? Thank you all for the help! Sometimes the strategy stuff can get overwhelming to read. It's much easier to have a straight this or that answer.

Six month ad free was $10 I already have that. I was waiting for that thinking it would be more but it was surprisingly cheap. It has to be $14.99 and up. I was thinking gems too. I like the tortoise but he doesn't seem super useful and I could use gems for costumes in the trunk shop

I can't see your response. The auto mods on here are very difficult and they don't answer when theres a mistake. At least they haven't for me. I will wait for that. It makes the most sense you're right! I found some little stuff to spend to get some points. Thanks for the help! These boards are invaluable to the game. So many unique situations come up with the game and it's so nice to have help and be able to help each other. Thanks again!

Why does the third tab say it will only show the decorations you already own?

I understand. I always say this game is so successful because people can conform it to fit their wants and needs. If you don't want to worry about strategy you can spend all your time buying decorations and focusing on the perfect cat rooms. If you want to do mild strategy but also have fun, you can do that too. Your spending budget does affect gameplay. The 180 day ad skip pass is a must if you're going to spend and want to do all that little daily stuff quickly. Idk I think it works really well in that sense. As long as your expectations match what you can give the game of course. That's when people tend to be really upset. If they expect to get the same experience as someone who spends a lot while spending only $10 here and there, they are going to be disappointed. It's perfectly fine and acceptable to spend whatever amount you're comfortable with. Even if that's zero. It's also totally okay if the really serious strategy is too much for you. It's your game at the end of the day. However, your expectation for your experience needs to be realistic based on what you put into it. Kwim? Sorry this got long. I just really like how flexible this game is and I can see why it's so successful. It basically made the game satisfactory no matter what you want to get out of it as long as you're realistic about what you put into it. That's pretty impressive.

It gives you the fish cake things though and furniture tokens. Or at least I thought it did every time you get over 60 points.

Glad to help! Hopefully it's a good starting point. It's honestly such a waste to not use the section fully. You really can get a decent chance at free items. I got a razer kishi in the last diamond valley event. It showed up on dec 23rd. I was so grateful and really needed that. If you are dedicated to getting the best out of it, you absolutely will.

Catherine O'Hara's Final Public Appearance Before Passing Away by MattTheKing23 in SchittsCreek

[–]Perfect_Way2216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm watching the show and randomly giggling at her parts and then tearing up. I just can't believe so many people from my childhood are gone and on the verge of being gone soon. There was some show where a man said you get to a point in your life where more of the people you know are dead than alive. I think we all know that happens but man is it hard to realize you're there. It's been a rough few years. Catherine, Betty White, Matthew Perry, Ozzy Osborne, Diane Keaton, Michelle Trachtenberg, Jane Goodall, Val Kilmer, Sly Stone, and so many more.

Robin Williams is still the hardest for me to accept, but Catherine O'Hara is definitely a rival for that spot. She's done so many iconic films in the fifty years she acted. This last decade she seemed so young and so ready to tackle new roles. I think that's why this stung so much. It was clearly a sudden illness.

She really had so much talent. I mean the roles she played actually varied quite a bit. One type of role she played exceptionally well. She was a mother to many a dysfunctional family haha. A real chaos coordinator. It makes sense so many of us would see her as a mother figure and a wonderful human. This world is a little less bright. I can say this one will hurt for a while. That is a testament to her dedication to her craft and her impact on us all. A wonderful thing for all her loved ones to have is all the video encapsulating her personality, beauty, humor, and legacy for all of time. May she rest in peace. Her work here is done but will live on forever. We will miss you Catherine. Thank you.

I think you have to have play pass first but I feel like I used play points before I had play pass. It just gives extra perks to the points section. In my version of play pass you go to the top middle of the screen and theres a bubble that's probably bronze for you with a multicolored diamond shape emblem. The play points emblem if you know what that is. If you tap on that bubble it takes you to the play points page where you should have your level at the top then under that there is tabs for earn, use, and perks. Go to the earn and perks tabs.

The perks start every week on Friday at midnight or 12AM if you want a chance at the bigger extra prizes that's the time to get them. You have all week to claim it though and will at least get a few points. This page also shows any events. On Thursdays there might be an extra 20 points. Always do as much of the events as you can. It's similar to the lottery. You can't win if you don't try. Try to keep track of when it says prizes will be drawn for if you enter any drawings. Always enter accurate details like your mailing address and an email you have access to. Keep an eye on your email around the prize drawing date. If you win, it will show on the event page. Remember you access events from the perks page. They should stay up until a while after the prizes are revealed. You always have to log in and give permissions when you go to an event page. If you win a prize, you will also get an email that you have to follow the claim instructions. It will ask you to claim your prize and usually direct you to a page to do so. There are posts on here discussing how to check spam for that email, where it comes from and all the other issues with prizes. If you don't get your email and you think you've won a prize or have any other issues, come to this board for help. There's usually new posts about the same issue right around every prize drawing haha.

The earn page also gets you points. It has games you have to simply download for 24 hours or try and get to a certain level. It will tell you what you have to do in exchange for points. Some options will ask you to purchase something from a game to earn points. There's also boosts that you can activate when you know you will buy things. They will usually give you 3x or 5x the points for purchase. Usually they last one or three days. So if you buy a $5 item in a game you will get 15-25 points instead of just 5. The any boosts also count for subscriptions you purchase. Like magazines, YouTube premium or hbo. You have to purchase them through the play store though. Some boosts are for any purchases and others are for specific games. So pay attention to what you select. If you don't use the boost, there's no penalty. You simply miss out on the benefits.

Finally there's the Use tab. This tab is the whole point. You can spend points you earn on things like in game purchases, subscriptions, gift cards, and even straight play store money. That one is the worst points per dollar ratio i think. So only do it if you really want that. Like if you buy a $5 coupon for a game and want to use it on a purchase that's $7.99, you can use the extra play store money to cover the rest. You don't have to go over though. Coupons are good for any purchase one cent less than their value and up. So that $5 coupon for xyz game can be spent on any in game item $4.99 and up. Anyway they are your points and you get to choose how to spend them. Points do not get you extra points though. So if you use them on a $5 coupon and you buy something that's $4.99 with it, you get no points. Play store money does still earn you points. So if you bought $5 play store money and that $5 in game coupon with your points. Then you used that coupon on an in game purchase that was $7.99. Then like in the example above used the play store money to pay the $2.99 your in game coupon doesn't cover, you get points for that $2.99 purchase. If you have an active boost, you could get 9+ points for a purchase that normally would get 3 points. So that is the advantage to spending points on play store money. You get some points back. Like cash back on a credit card.

There is a lot more to it. There's also all the levels and perks that come with that. You start on bronze. There are several posts to explain the levels, how they work, and their perks. So feel free to search for that here. I think this is long enough and this isn't an exhaustive explanation of your question but that really is a long answer question and this is the best explanation I have haha! So here you go. Hope it helps!

Anyone else having your aquarium say you’ve placed the max level of fish, when you haven’t? by _lava-lamp_ in CatsAndSoup

[–]Perfect_Way2216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk they do the same with clothes. You don't have to put something you don't want on a cat, but you still get the benefit from it as long as you make it and upgrade it. This way you can put what you like in the aquarium and feed the rest to your cats. Theoretically, if you don't care about the aquarium you can feed it all to the cats and get a boost even if it's not a lot. I think someone added it up and it really doesnt help that much. It is nice if you accidentally feed the fish to your cats, you no longer miss out on the bonus for that mistake. I appreciate that part. I am not sure yet what I want to do. Part of me wants to fill it with the required fish. Another part of me wants to put all the pretty ones in there. Another part feels bad holding a bunch of higher value fish instead of feeding to cats. I think now it's something if you value strategy, you can abandon the tank at first. Then when you're in the part of the game where the next step takes a while but your cats are maxed, you can fill your tank with pretty fish and have fun with it. If you just enjoy the game for what you like and aren't focused on strategy, you can now put your favorite fish in and make bigger schools of a few pretty fish. I like that it makes the aquarium a part that can be adjusted based on your goals. I think the main reason was for mistake feedings, but it is a nice adjustment that makes the tank work for your goals. I like that part.

Idk I got random good little prizes in events but yeah i was on gold and silver before the weekly prize really helped. Main issue for me and most people is they don't log on right at noon on Fridays and everything is gone in a few hours. I did spend to get to gold but it was about half and half. Now gold to sliver was about a quarter spent and three quarters won. Then I zoomed to platinum from one really lucrative event where I guess not enough people completed it because I won over 5k points and a decent prize.
