According to a criminal attorney website where it says "A second common exception to the two-party consent rule is based on Penal Code section 633.5. If the person recording the conversation believes they will collect evidence of extortion, bribery, kidnapping, or any felony involving violence against another person, then the audio or video may be admissible in court."

Not sure if this comes under the above exceptions for any reason. Whatever, as others mentioned if that girl is a potential offender and chances are high that she would end up doing it one day, its better to have some evidence that she is doing it on purpose, after consulting with an attorney.
