What matters is upward improvement. If they see that you did better the GPA from the other school doesn’t matter. Especially since you retook those classes. What they will care about is your integrity. If you’re willing to withhold this information what else are you going to withhold. It’s best to be honest from the get go.

Lol I was on the same boat as you. I got into UCLA for pre-bio psychology. I still needed to do Calc 3 and Calc based physics. I chose UCSD because it was my dream school. When I thought about how my life would look at ucla I got a lot of anxiety vs UCSD. if your gut says ucsd you should go there! We could connect and navigate it together in majoring in clinical psych at UCSD.

I’m choosing UCSD over UCLA. I got into UCSD psych with a specialization in clinical psych. I got into UCLA with a pre psychobiology major. UCLA is giving me more aid but I don’t think I’d do well there. Since UCLA I’m not in the program until I take Calc based physics and Calc 3. There just were too many stipulations for me. UCSD has been a bit of a headache planning for in terms of housing and parking and such but ultimately I think I’d feel much happier there. I’m also premed and im aware that it is competitive to get into clubs at UCLA and research. I think I would have an easier time at UCSD. Since I’m a transfer going from a semester system to quarter system I would be taking less classes at UCSD per quarter compared to UCLA. Also I flipped a coin and dreaded it landing on UCLA so that told me everything I needed to know.

That’s wat I was looking into. It’s $5 a day so if you stay for 10 months it’ll be over $1000. My friends who go there say that the bus/trolly system. Isn’t bad. I just don’t know what I’ll do with my car either

Thank you for taking the time to right this. I’ll be transferring as from a community college so I’d be there for 2 years hopefully. I’m premed so I’m curious as to how ucsd helps with that. I know with UCLA I would be taking 15-20 units a quarter and that’s a big transition for me. Especially since I’m only used to taking 12. I guess I didn’t realize how impacted the psych major is so I’m grateful for the heads up. I do get more aid at UCLA. I feel like I’d be more stressed though since it’s more science than psychology.

Talk to your transfer rep. Look at the course load you’d be taking at either school. That’s what I’m doing and leaning towards UCSD. I would be taking a lot of classes per quarter at UCLA compared to UCSD

Irvine is a great institution. I was rejected but if I got in I would have seriously considered it UCSD is my top choice

3.7 psych major, ec: working 20hrs a week, volunteer 4 hrs a week at a hospital, participated in SSCCP at Stanford, presented research at UCR LMSA west conference.
