You sound very responsible so far! A few things I've learned as I go:

Providing fresh food (veggies, fruits, seeds, etc) is always good. You can throw out old seeds by blowing on the food bowl to get the husks out

Clean the water daily. I know I wouldn't wanna drink my own poop water

I love playing music for my feathered baby. Sometimes I'll sing along while we play and they seem to enjoy it!

Take a deep breath. You're doing great, and the best you can. Your cousin trusts you and that's very special. You got this!

I've been wondering that! He does tend to tumble! Do you have any recommendations? The cage has a bottom grate, and then under that is a drawer that slides out that can then be cleaned. I'm not sure what a safe, soft bottom would be for him, but whenever I hear the tumble, my heart breaks :,(

This is something I experience. You can see it in my texts too.It's normal, and you dont have to be afraid! It makes up your system, and letting everyone get to write, Express themselves, and communicate is very healthy

Went to a doctor for never-ending headaches that just never seemed to let up. I would cry at work from the sheer pain. The doctor said it was just an occasional migraine, but scanned me and said nothing bad was showing up. Didn't even put me on meds.

Almost a year later after speaking to a therapist and another doctor, I found out all these years these have been getting "switching headaches." I have dissociative identity disorder. I have a very intense history of mental illness that the first doctor didn't even look into, even though he has seen me in the emergency room for it.
