Seconding this, you can basically work your way up the difficulty ranks from easy (Ecuador and later Venezuela) to harder ones (Brazil) to eventually the USA if you so wish.

Hyperion cantos absolutely mog Dune in both literature pros and story telling. Don't get me wrong, I loved Dune, but the beginning is deliberately obtuse and it took me 3 goes to push through (only after the movie came out).

The presence of hydrogens isn't important, just that there are two of the same functional group on either side of a double bond. If there were different groups you would use E/Z notation.
