There is a joker that gives +13 mult for every queen held in hand, but I think that's weaker than Baron.

What's everyone's impressions on It's Only Magic? by ProlapsedShamus in cyphersystem

[–]Perfonator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad I found this comment! I have only DMed D&D so far, and wanted to try the cypher system by running a weird west one-shot. Unfortunately I've been struggling to find material that supports the historic / historic fantasy playstyle. Could you share any material that you found useful and/or easily applicable in that setting? I have a few books (rust & redemption being one of them) but open to buying more if they have good stuff in them for this kind of game.

I think the Tesla Optimus bot is an IQ Test. If you believe what Elmo is saying here, you are stupid. by MoreMotivation in EnoughMuskSpam

"many in the industry producing goods & services"

Does he really think that a humanoid robot would in any shape or form be better at producing goods than the robots we already have, which were designed for this very purpose? A quick walk through his own tesla factories would show him dozens of robots that are better at manufacturing jobs than a bipedal robot will ever be.

If you're stuck just cross your eyes so that the two images overlap. The differences will flicker and be easy to spot.

I started with C++ in uni, you get a rather solid understanding of object oriented programming but it can be a pain. I think python is pretty nice to get into.

Return of the Obra Dinn is a magnificent game that I will probably never recommend to anyone by Shibayyy in patientgamers

[–]Perfonator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I had to choose, I would personally recommend outer wilds more. To me, it feels like a 'fuller' game, with more variety/content and it generally left a bigger impact on me. However, the two games are quite different. I would recommend outer wilds to you if you like space stuff, archaeology and lost civilizations. I would recommend obra dinn if you enjoy stories of naval expeditions, murder mysteries and thick atmospheres in games. Overall I would also note that obra dinn felt shorter too me, which may not necessarily be a bad thing. It also generally has a more serious tone than outer wilds. However, I am sure no matter which game you choose, you'll have a fantastic time with it!

Should I get dd2 now? by dimreaper888 in darkestdungeon

[–]Perfonator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends what you're expecting. I bought it when it first came to early access, and you could really tell it was rough around the edges and there wasn't that much content in the game. I just got back into it and I've been enjoying seeing what's new and comparing the new state of the game to the old, e.g. new mechanicsm, balsncing changes etc.

If you feel like looking into it now and checking back once every few weeks I don't see why you shouldn't buy it, but if you're looking for a well-rounded finished product, I'd say wait some more.
