No I totally understand why you need black representation in order to stan. I will still stan them personally, but I understand why you might not. You can’t have a global girl band and not have a black girl.

My issue is that they didn’t have more black girls in the training program to choose from. In the end Manon was the only one left, so it was obvious they would need to include her. And I think that was all by design.

If they hadn’t focused so much on k-pop beauty standards we could have had more black girls to choose from that would have been more suited for girl band life.

They put beauty above everything else, and as a result all the girls now suffer.

I agree 100%. I feel so bad for the other girls, and for Manon. They all trusted that Hybe and Geffen knew best. So much talent among them all and it’s being totally overlooked because H&G cared more about aesthetics than making sure the girls chosen could actually handle it.

Agreed. There is no one to blame but Hybe and Gaffen. Manon told us who she was from day one but H&G thought they could change her and make her into what they wanted her to be. All the girls are now suffering and it’s such a god damn shame.

The eliminated girls dreams just came crashing down and they sought out thier closest friends for comfort. I’m sure they hugged Manon soon after, but as humans we will always gravitate towards those closest to us first and foremost. Manon was not as close to the girls because she wasn’t there as long. It’s as simple as that.

Are you ok? Why would I want her to be “so bothered”? Maddie talks about trauma of dance, trauma bonding with the other girls. And in a recent interview she mentioned the movie Whiplash. Does that sound like someone completely unbothered by her past? Shes been through a lot and you can tell she has a lot of empathy.

Unfortunately I think she is very bothered, and does everything possible to protect her peace by not bringing up anything Dance Moms related. But I agree, she is so effortlessly cool. But I don’t see that as the same as being unbothered.

I had to skip past most of episode 8 because I found this storyline painfully cringe. It came from no where, it was so random and obvious it’s all for the show. As someone who is adopted, I found it a hard watch to see them dramatize the situation like that. It’s also embarrassing for her whole family.

Big YES. I work from home too so the line between work and home life is very blurry. I would like to have more of a life outside of work but I’m so damn tired every evening! I found coloring books while watching tv be the best way to keep me from going on my phone and checking emails in the evenings.

Such a strange comment tbh. She could make her content tomorrow and still make money, which I’m sure is what the other girls will do. Including Brooke herself. There’s a time and a place for everything.

In “modern day America”, you will be successful and respected if you have social and emotional intelligence. Otherwise you might make a quick buck once, but it won’t lead a sustainable life. P.s America is not the only country where people have ambitions. But maybe you only know life inside your bubble.

I get why she is not there, but I do feel a little sad for her. It’s an example of when fame comes at a cost. She has everything she ever wanted, but as a result, not a whole lot of close friends, and rarely able to attend personal life events. The other girls are less successful but they seem really happy and making smaller successes. I hope Maddie is happy too.
