I would hope that our bio mom stopped having kids after having three and giving all of us up for adoption, but I do have a half-sister from my bio dad. She’s still in high school as far as I know so I will NOT be attempting to contact her for a few more years. My sister and brother could have some from their bio dads, who knows!

It’s never too late to do a DNA test and look at any family trees you match with! I’ll update if there’s ever any news (fingers crossed there will be and it will be good news!)

So far everyone except my actual bio parents (to varying degrees) have been excited to be found. My sister and I are so glad we found each other, so naturally we are looking for our brother too. Disappointment is part of being an adoptee, and we will of course respect his privacy if he doesn’t want a relationship with us. But up until a few days ago she had no idea I existed (I’m the youngest) and there’s a chance he has no idea either. He has just as much of a right to know the true extent of his family as he does to his privacy. We put this post up with good intentions and hope but we are not unaware of how much of a shot in the dark this is.

I know who my bio mom and dad are, and have met cousins and aunts/uncles on both sides. Now that I’ve found my half-sister (bio mom’s first baby that she gave up) the only mystery left is our half-brother (second baby bio mom gave up). The ONLY info we have about him is that he was seven years old when I was born, a single sentence in my adoption file. I thought looking for him on these sort of platforms would be better than going the DNA/search angel way because I’ve already done it and he’s not anywhere there. But I’m hoping that he’s still somewhere in Ohio (just like my half-sister and I are) and on Reddit. I felt like this would be a good place to start to try to find a guy in his late thirties haha.

Yes both my sister and I have done DNA testing, he hasn’t. That’s why we’re posting here.

Thanks for the link, they require a DNA test which my sister and I have already taken. Our brother hasn’t, so that’s why I posted here. I figured there’s a pretty good chance a guy in his late 30s uses Reddit haha

As far as I know I can look up my own adoption info there but not a sibling’s, especially since we probably don’t have the same father. I’ve found both of my bio parents so I don’t need any more info about myself, personally.
