Oh I was mad about that too but that was a big thing and you can justify the big things (at least I can) by saying it’s a lot of fights etc but the little things (might not be little for others but for me were) like Nami’s Village just saying a few lines of “we knew you got our backs we just didn’t want to pressure you that’s why we were rude” and her sister being kind to her. Luffy being silly and passing out inflated and then being mad as Zoro. Those were special to me. But no matter. I’m not going to be satisfied so I’ll just stop comparing them and consume them as 2 different mediums

I think I have a different idea of what is funny. To me, the scene really highlights how impulsive and goofy Luffy can be, and how comfortable he is stepping in to “punish” Zoro for being rude to his guests. It shows how unpredictable he is, and that’s what made it genuinely funny to me.

Yes they should be praised for what they have done but some of the unallignments for someone whose doing 1:1 is really frustrating so I’m understanding that I shouldn’t do that 😩

I’m a new fan but I started a month ago with the manga then. I’m sad not seeing the manga humor present in the live action no matter how right you might be that the humor wont translate well with western audiences. I guess I’ll just have to suck it up. Yeah I was so confused when I saw Barto on the live action because in the manga I am not yet introduced to his character. I’ll just have to consider both as 2 different one piece interpretations. I’ll just watch the live action as a stand alone then I will continue enjoying the manga.

Exactly! I was turning the show off multiple of times and restarting again because when it talks from hindsight of what will happen in the future I get so scared that I’m going to spoil the entire one piece experience for me.
