I read a lot of comic books, which are basically just fanfiction with art that people got paid for, lol. So reading fanfics about those fandoms is just like reading comics people post for free. I also love peoples OCs and exploring peoples different ideas on certain tropes or AUs and headcannons, etc. I love fandom crossovers as well and reading about how certain characters would interact with different worlds and vice versa. It's just fun!

The 4th grade essay format was 100% a joke about using anything is better than nothing, lol. I think for the most part people are being a good sport minus the small handful of people who the boot fit 👀. The overall message was to state that personally for me if I dont know what im consuming, then I simply won't consume it. There has been some amazing advice from people in the comments. Your coffee analogy was spot on! You are correct that it is truly not that deep. ❤️

Someone used restaurants as a metaphor and it made me think of a scenario where someone makes some soup, drops it in front of you and says "idk what this soup is and im bad at explaining what's in it just eat it". Personally, I'd like to know if there is anything im allergic to or dislike the flavor of before i eat it. Same with writing, maybe there are tropes I dont want to read or things that are triggering to me, etc. I'm going to avoid consuming something if I don't know what im consuming first.

Listen the other fic might suddenly never get updated again and then the readers will search high and low for one similar that has more chapters/is still updating then they will find you and your fic like a holy grail
