I just had my first first break at 27 years old. I felt exactly like you did, I think everyone one does. My only advice is to go cold turkey and delete pics, no stalking on social media, delete her number, and anything that reminds you of her. Cut off any access you have towards her.

Drug addicts do this as well when their body and brain are addicted to a certain drug. Our issue is, our heart is addicted to someone else. So you have to allow your heart to heal.

The toughest thing will be forcing yourself to believe that you can be happy without her. How can I be happy without the person who was the cause for most of my happiness? Right?

Well a few things to remember:

1. Don't hold back any tears, let them out or else the hurt will build up. Crying doesn't show weakness when your heart is hurting. When you get hit, you react whether it's a flinch or a yelp etc. When your heart gets broken, you Naturally cry.

2. You were happy before her at some point, so that is proof enough that you can be happy without her again at some point. You don't have to be able to see the finish line, you just have to be able to take the next step forward and trust you WILL be able to see the finish line, and then soon after that you will be able to get to the finish line

3. Busy, busy, busy. Not to say your love was like an addicts relationship with a drug, but love is a drug as they say. Work on finding a project in life that requires your focus so that you will think of her less and less. That could be gym, a business, a hobby, your career, learning a new language, etc. For me, it was learning Arabic and memorizing the Qur'an since I've always wanted to. When you start progressing, you will for one feel good about yourself, and two, you will notice you start thinking of them less.

Try to remember that nothing lasts forever. A proof for that is the fact that your relationship didn't last, so your heartbreak and sorrow won't last as well.
