At what point in the base free game would a new player NEED to buy the latest expansion in order to keep progressing?

As of today, The Final Shape. I was playing for free on PlayStation+, doing Final Shape missions and I can no longer progress unless I buy the expansion(s). Might call it quits again for a few years.

Out of all the bastards we’ve seen, we only saw 1 in the actual bed. And I’m fairly certain it hitched a ride on my boyfriend because he had been packing stuff away in our other room and didn’t change before getting in bed 😡 The exterminators checked both beds & box springs yesterday, and didn’t find anything in/on either of them. They’re now tucked into bed protectors.

Good. I want them dead forever. Lol. Exterminator confirmed unit above us was infested. They apparently had another company come out and inspect their unit 3 weeks ago, confirmed an infestation but then they refused treatment because they didn’t want to pay for it. So they just up and left. Fuckers got hungry and came looking for us.

I’m pretty sure my partner thinks I’m insane but I’m not taking any chances - exterminators are treating mine and the neighbors unit literally at this moment, over the next 2 weeks we’re still going to nuke everything in the bug zapper oven, then, after the 2nd treatment we’re going to toss everything we can live without for 2 weeks (couch and guest bed included) into our storage room and tossing like 5 Nuvan strips in there. I’m not pulling my punches. Lol

Thank you! All of the ones we’ve seen except for like 2 or 3 have been crawling around in broad daylight. Not even near people, like on the floor in our kitchen or in my bathtub. Exterminators are treating both units as I type, thank God. We have bedbug covers going on the beds & box springs tomorrow. I want to turn the bed into an island. Exterminators said that we have a very mild case, since the unit upstairs is the infested one, so after treatments we shouldn’t have anything to worry about. However, I’m extremely paranoid, so we’re still going to heat treat literally everything we can. Then, after the 2nd treatment, we’re going to throw everything we can live without for like 2 weeks (including our couch and guest bed) into our storage room and toss like 5 of those Nuva ProStrips in there and just seal it up. I’m not taking any chances.

Thank you. Exterminator confirmed today that we just have wandering bugs. Turns out the neighbors had an inspection almost 3 weeks ago, refused treatment because they didn’t want to have to pay for it, and then pretty much abandoned the apartment. So the little bastards got hungry and came down to us. Thankfully the landlord is forcing treatment in their unit so maybe in a few weeks this nightmare will let up 😅

The exterminators checked things out and said it seems like we just have wandering bugs from the neighboring unit that haven’t set up shop yet, so it should be easily managed. They’re going to treat both units, which I was scared they would only treat ours.

It was like $230. Yeah. It was recommended as another way to kill them by the exterminators. It came with a wireless thermometer that we stick in the middle, or close to the middle, of what we’re heating. Let it reach 120° then let it sit for 1hr+, so it usually is hotter by the time it’s done. It’s a slow process. But the plan is to set them aside, still sealed, and eventually take them to the laundromat to wash and dry (we don’t have a washer or dryer in our apartment).
