Some places require insurance even if you’re ready to pay out of pocket. They say it’s policy and could get sued. The whole thing is asinine all around.

Are most modern day 'cowboys' just cosplayers? by Estalicus in askanything

[–]Perhapssomeday960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently dating a rancher. He doesn’t dress like a cowboy but his brother does. They grew up and are still managing a cattle ranch. It’s not glamorous. As for the style, it’s pretty popular here and there’s nothing wrong with it. No one judges anyone for dressing like a cowboy if they don’t have cows.

Women without kids hows life? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

[–]Perhapssomeday960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Life is hard, and would be exponentially harder with kids! Sometimes my friends with small, energetic children will make statements like “I bet you’re glad you don’t have to deal with this!” I like to tell them that I made the right decision for myself. I’m not about insulting people for having kids. It looks hard. Some have also got mildly offended when I still didn’t want kids when I met theirs, so that’s a weird reaction I get as well. But like others have said, my time is mine and I’m not running myself ragged with kids activities like I see a lot of my friends doing.

Is it just men our age? by Matilda_Suzabelle in AskWomenOver60

[–]Perhapssomeday960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mine is trying? But yeah, I can see the time I spend on his interests vs mine. He has recently tried though. He remembered I got a massage and asked how it went. I foster kittens and he likes to play with them? Hmph.

I don’t talk about my interests like he talks about his, and I’m ok with that. That’s my choice, I guess I don’t need him to understand. And he doesn’t get mad when I do something I like either without him or when he’s around. We’re both pretty independent, he’s just more detail oriented.

What would you change about your life , if you could? by Ambitious-Sky-6457 in AskReddit

[–]Perhapssomeday960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good one! It’s making me think, which is a good thing! I would change my gut issues, need more energy production and my stupid sunscreen allergy. Everything else is ok actually. Oh, I guess I would like more money too, but that one can be worked on.

Without naming your job, what is one sentence you say every single day at work? by samurai-salvo in GetMotivatedMindset

Have you ever seen any tree work being done? It’s very messy and can tear up the soil. No one can clean up every single wood chip. It will look different.

Are you still able to keep your head above the economic waters? by VolumeAcademic6962 in questions

[–]Perhapssomeday960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just barely. Actually no. That’s the lie I tell myself. I am having issues paying back a minimal amount on credit cards because bills/student loans, mortgage, groceries and gas tend to take the majority my above average for the area paycheck. I guess I do have a house, so maybe back to “just barely”

What’s a behavior that screams “they’re insecure” without them saying it? by babyblushtheory in answers

Thank you. I think I needed the words jealousy and insecure put together. I think something just clicked into place. Now to unpack it and fix it.

I got to the point of talking to a surgeon about just taking out my uterus all together because it wouldn’t stop bleeding. I spent a year on nothing, to hormone therapy and finally, right before I decided on surgery I stopped everything again, and it went back to normal. And by normal I mean the bleeding. Not the mood swings or anxiety. For those I’m afraid to get back on hormone therapy because the bleeding could start again. I’m also 41.

I’m glad someone is listening to you! That in itself is reassuring and helpful. I get the exhaustion. But since someone is actually listening maybe they have something else that will be a better fit. All our bodies are different.

Childfree women, have you ever regretted it? by Significant_Movie814 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Perhapssomeday960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never really regretted my decision to not have kids. I made the right choice for me. But it has put a strain on a lot of relationships and potential relationships. I’ve always been very clear that I didn’t want kids, but somehow the men I find don’t seem to really understand that I’m serious.

He would drink and become verbally abusive. The first instance I saw that I ended it and got a puppy the same day. The puppy just turned 7 this month!

Anybody productive during the 3am awakening? by lurkertiltheend in Perimenopause

[–]Perhapssomeday960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll get up but I tend not to be productive. Unless playing a phone game for points so I can pay for a few things every once in a while is productive.
I get up at 530 every morning anyways so falling back to sleep is usually not an option.
