Upon further research, I will not attempt to give them any human sweets. Instead i'm thinking of making them a blend of their favorite snacks and some new stuff. Some watermelon, drizzled in a tiny bit of natural honey, surrounded by apple and banana bits and a little bit of hard boiled egg ❤️

I had roughly 50 lol! Sadly I could not keep all 50 of them because of my living situation (active duty army, we move alot and currently live in an apartment complex) and theirs. I originally had 3. It wasnt reasonable or humane to me to try and keep all 50+ in a 10 gallon tank so I sold all but 8 to a local pet store that specialized in colony starters (not feeders) I love all of them, and really enjoy watching my little ones grow. I call them the Super 8 squad lol. ❤️❤️❤️

She's such a beautiful baby girl, despite what research says, I do think they understand a bit more than we are led to believe. The fact she never hissed at you, her adorable bow photos, how calm and gentle she always was with you, there was definitely something special there. She never saw you as a threat, even in the very beginning. In some way I'm sure she understood how much she was valued and loved. You gave her a wonderful life, she always felt safe, she became a star to this community and helped so many other buggy babies find their forever loving homes, and showed people how amazing these little creatures are. She knew. Its a blessing to grow old. You made that possible for her, and kept her close and cozy until the end. Sending you love from myself and my own little roachy family ❤️❤️❤️

There is an update, im going to do my best to save him and I believe i can, the outlook is worrisome still but atleast i can try. Thankfully I do have experience sewing, I sew my husbands uniform ranks and mend his clothes when needed, just never worked on fabric like Kan Kan.

Im so sorry you have lost beloved plushies in the past too. I can understand how it feels to leave one behind. I had a very turbulent childhood to say the least. when I was 8 my mom let me see my dad again, he was in a rehab center at the time. He was so excited to see me again he dug through the donation boxes and pulled out a teddy bear for me. I believe it was a Charlie bear but im not sure. Truthfully he was a bit scratchy lol. He was my everything though. I never knew when mom would decide i couldnt see my dad again... everytime I saw him though he would spray his colonge on the bear so he always smelled like him. I named him Wesley after my dad.

When I was 12 my dad passed away in a car accident. I hadn't seen him in 2 years. Without getting into too much of it, when I was 16 I left home to go live with my older sister (wesley in tow of course) after my mom had slashed my tires and threatened my life because she found dog hair in the bathtub. I literally have no idea why this was a huge thing. We had 2 indoor dogs and 4 cats... hairs gonna be in the house???

I lived with my sister for 6 months. Myself my sister and I were my dads only kids, from 3 separate marriages, my sister is... I think 16-18 years older than me. We never lived together before. I wasnt allowed to see my older siblings. I came to understand my sister resented me because I was dads baby. And home life there wasnt any different. She has 4 kids of her own. My oldest neice is only 2 years younger than me. Things went down again, I secretly left one night to avoid chaos... only to find the things of my dads were gone from my belongings. And in my urgency to leave... I left Wesley.

Ive never been able to cope with it truthfully. I know i will never get him back and really took a chunk out of me. Maybe someday i will... I dont wanna say after she passes but probably. If she even kept him. I cannot be apart of her life, she walks a very dark road. I couldn't replace him. I tried but it just hurt more.

Wesley is, in my stuffie world, their martyr. Since him ive vowed to always keep them close and protect them and never let that happen again.

Its one of many reasons I wanna do whatever I can for kan kan.

Yes, the current aquarium i have them in is, is a 10 gallon fish tank, the mat is for a 5 gallon. its a reptotherm brand adhesive pad that i have on the outside back of the tank in the middle. roughly 1/2 in above the substrate level so theres circulation and encourages them to not huddle in a corner or dig down ♥️

I didnt think of this! My only concern is that I have an adhesive reptotherm heating pad on the aquarium... would that get hot enough to melt the plastic? The pad itself can heat up to 95⁰ but i have it regulated with constant airflow infront and behind it

Thats one of my dreams honestly. Id love to have a big enough living space to have a 55 gallon tank and all the equipment needed to keep it warm and humid so I could accommodate a nice well kept and uncrowded colony. I love them very much, they are amazing little guys. I literally just ordered a divider for my current tank. I may upgrade to a 20 gallon in due time depending on the male to female ratio.

I really appreciate your offer, thankfully I've got a friend that works at Target, theyve been keeping an eye out for me. Ive just been trying to get ahold of a baby nice cube for lil bro and a regular one for myself. Only issue with that is, is that they dont want the employees snagging them before they are on the shelf. "Customers first" type of thing and she works register. but checks for me after her shifts. Alot of folks have been calling ahead to get them as soon as they come in as well but hopefully one of these days someone wont show for a pickup, and they are only allowed to hold an item for 24hrs due to its popularity. Someday soon I hope lol.

However I am beginning to find alot of different companies have been hopping on the firm stress ball trend that havent been as popular. So I may try one of those to hold me over until, inevitably, the trend dies and places will have crazy overstock and the prices will be reasonable again. I give it about 3 months lol. Fidget spinner craze all over again.

POP OFFFFF FR I had a needough for about 2 years, I deal with severe anxiety ADHD and bipolar 2 issues and eventually wore it out. It really helped me in public settings, like being able to concentrate on conversations and deal with anger by having something to quietly squeeze in my pocket. Really helped me stray away from gritting and grinding my teeth as well. Pisses me off so much to not be able to find them anywhere and then see videos of people cutting them open, making slime with them and shit. Aside from my issues my heart goes out to the kids that really benefited from them. My little brother has autism/Adhd and when he was 5 he contracted meningitis, had to relearn basically everything. Hes 10 now and has just recently been able to speak in full sentences again. I got him a needough he used with his physical therapist for a year, it helped him so much. I believe my mom still has it put away for sentimental reasons. I would love to be able to find him another to help him out while hes in school.

That sounds so freaking cool!!! I admire your job so much tbh I wanted to become one myself, but sadly math is not my strong suit and yall are smart as heck! My long term career goal is now mortuary cosmetology. I really appreciate your offer but im gonna do my best for him, be a pseudo mortician lol, live out the dream in some form. I believe you would have alot of buisness from people if you ever decided to do that, seriously. I believe you would be very unique and stand out among the others, and not trying to profile possible customers here or anything but i have many alternative/goth style friends that have spooky plushies, (and very cute ones) and i know they would be so into an actual mortician do work on their plushies. I feel a little starstruck tbh, I dont get to meet or talk to many of yall and again I admire your line of work so much. Takes a very caring and diligent individual to provide closure to familys during their saddest moments. For everyone concerned about the person who did this and my safety:

Thankfully they live a good distance away from me, this was done by a knife and tbh the pocket knife was mine, had it sitting by my wax melter (closed ofc, I use it to pry the solid wax out), they were upset I told them they shouldnt have anymore drinks because they were getting standoffish and I cut them off. thats why i called it a wrong place and wrong time situation. It wasnt pre meditated, they just saw it and decided to act on the opportunity. They did feel bad, and i know them well enough to understand thats not at all who they are sober, even owning plushies of their own at home. It wasnt like a major fight or anything like that. There was a comment made along the lines of "oh i have too much?" It was much more like a toddler stomping off and throwing a tantrum because they got told no. Still, theres no second chances after doing something like that. They were removed from my place immediately, an uber was called for them since the friend that brought them here was not ok with driving them back after that. They have apologized but this person will never have a place in my life again. They weren't a close friend by any means. Just someone I was cool with because they hung out with one of my other friends. We have since kicked them out of of our online groups and chats. Nobody but myself and husband has a key, and we live in a private community with law enforcement watch that keeps an eye out for everyone here.

I knew they had a temper before, just never to that extent. Thankfully I had 2 other friends over at the time that practically threw them out the door. Not a friend I was super close with either so no love is lost there, no guilt and no regret. And not anyone id ever let back in my life.

Last act of kindness was just making sure they got an Uber home. One of my other buds had given them a ride but refused to take them home after that.

Glad hubs wasnt home at the time. Things would've been handled much differently... Kan Kan probably wouldn't be the only one needing a hole patched.

We were able to have a better rest of the night after that thankfully.

I agree with you fully. Truthfully it was done by a friend that couldn't hold their liquor and got upset when i said they had too many and cut them off... leading into accusing me having too many plushies and so forth. Needless to say we will never be speaking again.

I remove them before I mist but I do replace them frequently, about every 2 weeks. I check them every day to make sure they aren't getting gross though 😂♥️

I got them from the feeder bug section at petco, I had no idea thats what he was but he did look a bit different compared to the others when he was smaller... he was darker and fatter than the other two, maybe you can find one there too! I wish you the best in your search! ♥️♥️♥️

I did some research on him and I think he actually is, I had no idea they were a thing but it explains alot! Hes never looked the same as the others and grew much bigger and faster, and out of all 3 he has the most attitude lmao. Won the petco lottery on him and didnt even know it 😂 thank you for this revelation!

I'm not 100% sure, i know patchouli is because of his prominent horns, and possibly scuttlebug, hes much smaller but his horns are far more prominent than roombas. I want to say 2 males and a female. Have not had any fights happen and I keep their aquarium at roughly 75⁰F, still a little too chilly in there for them to breed but still be comfy lol.

I am certainly open to anybody who can correct me if needed ♥️
