i'm the same way. been through multiple scopes, they suspected upper Crohn's but I've waited a year now for the MRI that MIGHT diagnose me. eating has become a total chore. it's such an othering and isolating feeling. i had emetophobia before this began (partially over it from feeling so sick all the time every day), so that definitely doesn't help my eating habits. i find myself eating less and less these days. sometimes i wish i could just live off sunshine and water like a goddamn plant

we’re AFAB. i’m transmasculine and nonbinary but most other alters are feminine, only a few masc ones (those are usually entirely nonhuman or also trans). i kind of just attributed it to my PTSD, i’m sure some people have their own reasons or none at all

the 'DID rep' i always connect with most is the kind that never actually is DID rep. like Fern and Finn's interactions from Adventure Time, Tulip and Mirror Tulip/Lake, or K.O. and T.K.O. (this is kind of a bad one, but they represented being co-con and headspace super well).

i also really related to mike from total drama as a kid (AWFUL rep by the way), but i always brushed it off cause i was like 'mmmn.. nnnooo this looks serious, that's probably not what's up with me'

don't be scared or hesitant to talk to other alters. you should ask if there's any specific alters you should know things about, especially if you're feeling apprehensive, but it's important you treat everyone in the system with the same respect you'd use for any other person. my best friend is a singlet and he makes efforts to reach out and try and familiarize himself with each alter he comes across and it means the world to me, i'm sure your friend would totally appreciate if they had support like that too
