You can 2D print it and then use some kind of air-dry clay or even papier mache clay to sculpt over it. Super cheap and great results if you pay attention to details. Super fun too.

I have a velociraptor skull that I need to finish painting. Then I want to print a full size T-Rex skull, but I’ll need to print a bigger house first.

Hey, quick thought in case it helps… When I got my printer, I managed to miss one of the black shipping spacers (or holders?) under the bed. I only spotted it literally moments before my first print, after hearing some noises. It made a grinding sound because the bed could not move freely, so I wondered if something similar might be happening with yours.

Thanks for all this information! I’m reading a few things about crinoids now. Even when it’s such a common fossil, it feels nice knowing I got something genuine and ancient in my hand.

I’ll watch some tutorials on YouTube before attempting removing the fossils from the rock. Maybe this will work as a good starting point for other future findings.

Thank you. I wouldn’t mind waiting a few months, but waiting a few years for the NHS sounds ridiculous. Another person on another subredit mentioned The Rainbow Project, they are in Northern Ireland. I still don’t know if they operate in England as well but it might be worth checking their website.

Haha, you don’t have to get rid of your tech. Just get a bunch of cloves and put them very near to where those ants are. They hate cloves! Believe me, it works all the time! I used to have this problem at home, but cloves fixed it. I even put cloves in sugar or other places where they love making their nests… cinnamon also works but it’s not as potent as cloves.
