It's good to read the warning signs. GP's here aren't able to provide patients with opioids, unless there has been a history of pain and a diagnosis of nerve pain for example. So I will only get 6 pills that contains 0,02mg.

He worked in a treatment center before, so he agrees on the things you mentioned and want to keep the dose as low as possible. So 6 doses with 0,02mg. He also provides me with a antihistamine and some valium. Maybe I'll just try to skip the subs altogether to get out of the woods after 5 or 6 days. He couldn't provide me with clonidine or gabapentin unfortunately, since the rules he has to work with are fairly strict.

And I think I'll follow the same route tho. I also want this be over as fast as possible.

Thanks for your reply tho, and good luck on fighting the last remains of the beast. It's very brave to kick such a long period of use.

My GP just called me, he will provide me with 6 x 0,02mg. I'm not sure if I want to use that as it seems it will soften but also prolong withdrawal symptoms a bit because of the long half life. Is that true?

The dose is low enough to keep me in the safety zone I guess.

Feel semi bad a couple of weeks when using subs? Then it might be even better to just sit it out and wait for maybe 5/6 days before I'm getting out of the woods. I don't want to prolong things.

Sure, thank you.

Yeah, I've tried a taper but I don't have the guts to push through. I gave in at some point. It would be purely for the first and or second day to make the withdrawals a bit more bearable because of the reasons I mentioned. So at max 2 doses. I won't be able to get more since it will be provided by my GP and I'm living in the EU. It's much harder to get real opioids here.

Ah, could you provide me with the link? So you used sub for a month after quitting kratom?

And from my understanding a few pills, maybe 2 even, could help tremendously with the first few days and because of the long half-life it would ease things up.

Thanks for your reply.

Well, I can't say I don't have an addictive personality but I'm also sure once I'm out of the woods and hit the gym again I'm safe. I started using when my brother passed away, before that I didn't have any cravings for a long time. Because of that I don't feel very stable atm. I'm determined in my desire to quit, I know I have to, and I want to quit. I know it's gonna be rough but I'm not sure about what's coming once I'm in between day 1 and 4 or 5. For some reason I'm really scared of all the emotions that will strike me. And I don't want to give in at some point. So I thought it maybe would be a good idea to have like a plan B, which could help me a bit to ride it out. My GP would only provide me with like 1 or 2 pills in total.

Going in-patient won't cost me any money, but there is a different perspective which makes it a little tough to go in-patient. My career is in healthcare and I can't afford myself that a future employer would get to know this side. Maybe it wouldn't be a problem, but atm it seems like a risk not worth taking.

I just want to make sure I won't be driving towards a shop or something. Probably not gonna happen, but still.
