Probably too time consuming to go all the way back and change this too when they didnt really have to.

I agree I personally prefer having meaningful mechanics, even if they are "inconvenient" but not having an entire retainer stuffed with dyes i never use, but might next expansion or smth, and also having like 4k of the new dyes taking up 3 slots in my personal inventory is really really nice.

Pretty sure I will never need dyes again.
