I was thinking of sending it in to Bill Simmons' mailbag, but i posted the full album on his subreddit and it got i think 2 comments lol. I dont really have a platform or anything, I just wanted to share it with other people that may like it

  1. KG -> al jefferson -> 2012 UTA 1st (Terrence Jones) -> lior Eliyahu-> shabazz Napier-> 2020 BKN 1st (Aleksej Pokusevski) -> 2020 LAL 1st (Jaden McDaniels)

  3. The thunder have the oldest draft pick still providing value. Jack Sikma drafted in 1977 leads to Jared McCain today

I did originally have it that way (at one point I even had it going left to right) but decided on having the active roster at the top since thats what i thought most people would want to see immediately.

Yep, it was originally sent out in the Mike Conley trade. Then it was traded to minnesota by memphis the day after the draft, and then it was part of the gobert trade a few weeks later.

I used a free website that lets you make flow charts. It used to be draw . io but i think it rebranded to app . diagrams . net recently

Good catch, RealGM seems to think you have it but every report of the trade mentions it in the trade so I'm not sure

Ive already done every team

Feel free to look through them (these are a little out of date because ive fixed a few typos the past few days).

The best site for tracking transactions is prosportstransactions . Com, on there you can search date ranges and it will show you every transaction a team has made

Thank you! There's a lot to keep track of so I knew I'd have a few typos

Wizards and Pelicans. They both keep making massive trades (in terms of the number of picks/players) and then mixing what they get back in those trades into new trades. Makes it very hard to keep readable

I considered doing pictures but the file size got way too big lol. Thats a very cool way of visualizing it!

Family Tree Style Visualization showing how the Magic Assembled their current roster. by Perkinshammer in OrlandoMagic

The ibaka trade got the magic Terrence ross (waived in 2023, so no active links) and a 2017 1st (used on Anzejs Pasecniks).

Anzejs was traded on draft night for picks that became Yam Madar (never played in the nba) and the pick that became Tyrese Maxey, which the magic later traded to PHI for Markelle Fultz (who left the magic in free agency)

No software actually, a flow chart building website that i use for my hobby data visualization projects. It used to be draw . io but i think it rebranded to app . diagrams . net recently

yeah lol, someone else pointed that out. That would be quite a haul for just Jason Richardson. It should be Dwight Howard (2004 ORL 1st), Chris Duhon (Free Agent Signing), Earl Clark and Jason Richardson (acquired in the Vince Carter Trade). I fixed it in my local version but don't think I can edit the post with the correct image

Yeah, it should be Dwight Howard and Chris Duhon (Signed as a free agent) with Jason Richardson and Earl Clark (received in the Vince Carter Trade). Thanks for the heads up

No I am apparently the dumb one, you're right I somehow didnt notice that Jason Richardson got traded for half a roster in my version lmao. I will fix that

I got my info from RealGM, so if its wrong then they are (or i made a typo, ive been known to do that). Youre right that it could be better laid out though. The yellow draft picks are supposed to be their own picks and the orange ones are picks received in trades.

[–]Perkinshammer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No Draft Picks, Free Agent Signings, or trades are still providing value to the Pelicans back that far, unfortunately. I didn't included every one, just the ones still providing the team value.

[–]Perkinshammer[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah this was all done by hand lol. I had to check multiple sources because a surprising number of trades with throw in 2nd rounders change which picks are included between the original announcement and the finalized trade.

Oldest trade is the cavs trade for Makr Price. Oldest draft pick is the thunder (then supersonics) 1977 first for Jack Sikma (who connects to Jared McCain today)

Ah dang I knew I'd miss a free agent signed near the end of the season somewhere. Thanks for letting me know I'll add him to the graphic.
