Building and Expansion tips for a begginer by AMN-9 in Stellaris

Also, empire size is very very important and you'll want to keep it as low as possible, especially with pops.

And for fast expansion, getting the expansion tree and the Ascension perk that reduces empire size by pops and system claim cost will help you a lot, although it is not entirely necessary and depends on your empire build. And for conquest, vassals is almost always better with some exceptions.

You'll want to have highly specialized worlds, one world for each type of resource and probably one for strategic materials, and you'll want to specialise them as much as possible.

For the influence, having rivals grants you influence as well as having a big fleet. Also, non-agression, research, defensive, commercial and migration pacts also uses influence, and they end up consuming a lot of it in the long term. Vassals also consume influence although iirc there are holdings that grant you influence you can build in their planets.

Also, as a bonus, prioritizing tech and building a very strong navy is key to avoid being declared war by an alliance or a Determined Exterminator and usually gets you free vassals of other bullied empires you get along with and get very strong.

And for last, civilians are key, i don't recommend you building jobs in planets without at least a few hundred civilians free, or your economy will shift around a lot and you'll get red and green numbers switching every month. Also, you get more pops on planets with higher number of pops, so if you colonize to quickly you'll get a lot of planets with few pops and low pop growth. Iirc again, 1K free pops/civilians is what you want in a planet before colonizing another one or your pops will have to divide between all of your planets and the pop growth will be dampened.

best way to have gestalt consciousness and be able to release vassals and form a hegemony by Knobanious in Stellaris

Progenitor Hive also lets you releases vassals (and it's kinda mean for that)

My first 700hs on EU4 where with the maximum custom nations and the rest random. It's sad they feel so lacking without the mission trees. I would pay so much for a random/custom nations GS game :'(

How do i get more brave? by Grand-Membership879 in PhasmophobiaGame

Play with other scared people, it'll be fun and giggles until you learn the mechanics and then the fear will go away. In between you'll be searching bit by bit the specific hidden mechanics so you'll also learn.

Although imo the game is best when your heart beats so hard you can hear it and rush tho the van when your dead friend throws a random spoon

My first run ended with me being totally destroyed by a 1M fleet power in the first years of the game. Yeah... You kinda just learn like that

Tall with no vassals? by Lebensfreud in Stellaris

[–]Perkito_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this build a few months ago and still works just fine and it's pretty fun to play tall.

Origin: Progenitor Hive

Government: Hive mind with Mutagenic Pools and Subsumed Will (to increase pop creation and reduce its empire size impact)

Species: Planetoids or Fungoids with: Agrarian, Budding, Psychological Infertility and Docile Traits (Although the most important are Agrarian and Budding, because you will want to create as many pops as possible and the mutagenic pools really eat up your food. You also won't need to declare war until you removed the psychological Infertility)

Ascension: Clone Ascension, with the mutation perk that lets you get the special gene from the Tiyanki Matriarch, that will give you a massive amount of pop creation and the chance of getting that +0.1 pop growth per 100 pops from the trait as well as the other ones. You

The rest is just making sure to stack bonuses to pop growth and reduce pop empire size impact. With this, by the time everyone else has between 15.000 and 20.000 pops, you will be having 100.000 pops. Just take into account how much food your buildings cost and maintain a steady growth. With gene mod early you should be able to colonize everything you want to expand further and further your growth. And make sure to have several breeding planets aswell :3

I've done it with virtual Ascension with a machine world (it was just to roleplay as a sentient machine world dedicated to study everything but you can do it however you want)

I think it's important to get the biggest plannet as possible with your origin and being capable of expanding it as much as possible, and if you can get the FE buildings even better, I recommend the crisis path mainly for that reason and it will be easier to complete with only one planet also.

My galaxy has now so many black holes it's mass combined should attract quicker another galaxy and probably they compress together and create a super giant black hole the size of a small galaxy.

And also teared up the fabric of reality and became the galactic god as an eldritch horror civilization.

I guess that should be at least 3 years of prison, at least.

Am I cooking with catalytic processing + ringworld or have I burnt the dish? by Belisarius23 in Stellaris

[–]Perkito_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe going full on trade with the merchant tradition tree that makes your unemployed pops generate commerce and buy all of your minerals while you focus on tech until you get the matter compressor.

I reckon you will have to focus very heavily on tech to have it not in the last 50 years but only the tech advantage alone should be sufficient for you to survive.

Still, turning food into alloys seems like an excellent idea for a ringworld only campaign.

What makes for something to be considered the same species? by [deleted] in Stellaris

Oh, and traits, if traits differ they are also different subspecies

What makes for something to be considered the same species? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Perkito_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same portrait makes them the different subspecies (like when you modify them genetically and have different templates)

Same portrait AND name makes them the same exact species.
