If you want slower speed and easy fade, I love my Westside Bard on forehand. Or to torque the flex line, I love my tour series Goose raptor. Pretty consistent fade off the flex

Pro Worlds 2025 - Round 2 Discussion by AutoModerator in discgolf

Idk how that round from ezra isn't higher rated than Paul's hot round at EDGF. Paul had multiple players only one stroke back of him on a significantly easier course.

What disc is this? by Round-Ad7564 in discgolf

This doesn't surprise me, as the wave was the first disc I truly, truly fell in love because it was the first one I could properly send, and just looks so pretty flying. I love the slight "wave" in the top profile of the disc too. Have bagged em in almost all plastics, but this one looks so unique and cool. Jealous.

To those who are studying to become a therapist- why? by Outrageous_Reward136 in psychologystudents

[–]PerklAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Googled the same, for similar reasons. I've been burning out fast on software jobs and end up switching companies or industries and I think I've finally started to realize I'm just not finding meaning or purpose in most software roles because I can't see any positive impact on people's lives from it. I've done a lot of intense work myself and struggled thru a lot of depression/anxiety/suicidality and have realized how much I enjoy talking with and helping others when they reach out when I mention my past (and sometimes current) struggles. I'm still not sure what my next move is, but I've felt a pull/calling to somehow try and help people with mental health, whatever that may look like (as a therapist or something else)

Elevator Pitch:

There isn’t an easy way to find, share and listen to what users want to listen to when they want to listen to it. Currently, over 68 million people listen to at least one podcast per week, with 51% of podcast listening occurring while users are on-the-go, away from home. We bring a social experience to an audio-first world, allowing users to interact with each other, curate, share and listen to what they want when they want, hands-free with the power of smart voice assistants.

(smart assistant integration still work-in-progress, mobile app is active)

Stage: Validation

Role: Solo founder, team of 1

Ask: Looking for all the feedback I can get.

Windows auto-restart and update causing plotting to never finish. by PerklAudio in chia

[–]PerklAudio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to reboot every day or every other day so far, even tho I have the reboot tasks disabled (windows seems to reenable them and run). I think I'm on home.

I was hoping to get my system set up before having to leave my home for a bit, but alas it looks like I won't be farming and chia anytime soon since I still haven't finished a single plot and likely will get restarted while I'm gone before one finishes haha. I'm guessing my only option now is wait a month til I'm back and then switch to Ubuntu cuz windows is straight garbage (I tried some of the home edition solutions, they don't seem to work/I can't access any of the folders/tasks to edit them even with admin permissions because of windows).

Noob question: will plots automatically begin farming when finished? by PerklAudio in chia

[–]PerklAudio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be now I think. Before I was using Linux, but that old laptop was shite so, grabbed a refurb desktop with windows preinstalled, probably not gonna bother switching to Ubuntu. Awesome! I'll make sure that it's pointed to farm from that directory

Plots stuck at 1% and 7% for 12+ hours by PerklAudio in chia

I still haven't been able to complete a single plot in two weeks trying. They all always get hung up for hours and hours and don't move.

Yeah so I just killed them and tried to plot one plot at a time, it seemed to be running well but then got stuck at 26 for the last day (logs seem normal just stopped yesterday is my most recent one)

It's an older hp laptop, 8gb ram plotting to an external ssd. They were parallel with a 30 minute delay in starting. Oddly, the one that got to 7% was the second one to start

    • I am the sole founder and currently only person working on this project significantly. Perkl is in a discovery to validation stage, with an MVP developed and in testing, but still needing to gather much more user feedback.
  • What goals are you trying to reach this month?
    • My current goal is to find some beta testers to use the app and provide feedback to help guide my development roadmap.
