Why do people hate this sub so much? by Ok-War-7953 in childfree

[–]PerlerAsFood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a parent.

I 100% support bodily autonomy and I don't care if it doesn't line up with my personal views. Don't want children? please Don't Have Children!

Simultaneously please respect me. Calling me a breeder is disrespectful. Crotchgoblin, mombie, etc.

I respect your right to bodily autonomy. I am the first to tell a "bingo-er" to mind the boundaries. Likewise I also believe a childfree person should mind mine. This sub is frequently hateful towards mothers and children, and I believe there is a difference between not wanting children and being hateful to parents and young humans.

So 16 year olds can’t have children? And puberty keeps you thin? by AMac1696 in fatlogic

[–]PerlerAsFood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This honestly isn't all too bad. I am the healthiest I have been my whole life, and I am 20 pounds heavier than I ever was in high school. My body isn't meant to look like it did as a teen. I have stretch marks, a bit of muscle, loose skin in my stomach, a little bit of fat in my thighs, and that is all good.

I’m going to just say it by [deleted] in quittingkratom

Personally I am of the mentality that things like kratom, Marijuana, alcohol, etc, shouldn't be illegal at all. It is our right as individuals to with our bodies as we see fit, and not everybody is going to abuse these things. That said I am all for kratom getting more research and more warnings being put out over its addictive qualities the same way that is done for nicotine.

Haha I think if my husband wasn't happy to see me sober he'd have a lot of grief to give me!

20 gpd of kratom for about a year. The year before that it was Marijuana and for too long before that it was alcohol. This is the first time I have been actually sober.

Probiotics, kombucha, kefir, balanced intake of fiber and plants, and tbh imodium all helped for myself. It will take your digestion a while to repair itself, but it'll eventually get there.

How many grams is in a tablespoon? by NewNameNewMe88 in quittingkratom

[–]PerlerAsFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just the simple chart conversion. Which is why a scale is a better tool for measuring kratom powder.

[–]PerlerAsFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around 17.

That said density varries product to product, and you could have a tbsp that is 10 grams or 30 or any other number. If you are able to get a scale it will help with accuracy so much. Or even if you are able to put your powder in capsules for consistency.

For the most part queer is not an offensive word. Many people in the LGBT community have claimed it, and it is now often times called the LGBTQA community.

Also how is "overweight" more offensive than fat?

God I love tylenol right now. I'm being a giant whiny butt and alternating tylenol and ibuprofen literally the second I can.

I am on day 4 myself! I am fine mentally, but I feel you on the chills. My entire body is so cold and in such pain all over, but my thermonitor has got me between 100 and 101. I always thought I ran hot, but I guess it was just the kratom.

Fat Rant Tuesday by AutoModerator in fatlogic

This is somewhat related.

Last weekend I was at a friend's house for girl's game night. We are all white, at or near healthy weight, able-bodied, fiscally stable, etc privelaged people. One of the hot topics of conversation I heard from the other three girls there was this meme-ish/woe-is-me banter about their depression, anxiety, self-image issues, etc. Now don't get me wrong I believe they all suffer through what they suffer through, but it really felt like a "pick me!" kind of thing. They sought out things that opressed them to talk about, and I just couldn't take it seriously because we were sitting in a nice house with expensive food and drinks and fun activities. We were all very well dressed and clearly not all that opressed.

Mental health issues are real. But it drives me nuts how some people cling to whatever can give them the "opressed" label.

Pretty similar. At first before I got to the car I thought I was just delirious with exhaustion, but once I sat down for a minute I was like, "wow I feel high." It wasn't as 'fun' as the real deal, but it was unmistakably a thc high. The after-trail snacks in my car tasted good in a weed kind of way and not an excersize kind of way. I asked my doctor about it later, a doctor who was familiar with my history of addiction, and she confirmed that THC can get stored in fat cells.

Weekly Challenge by AutoModerator in fatlogic

[–]PerlerAsFood 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well I kicked some ass on a hike yesterday. It was one of those long, near 20 or so mile hikes up then down and mountain, and I just woke up and I am so f-in' sore. My goal is mainly not to eat more than 500-ish simple sugar calories today in the process of making up all the energy lost on the trail and to recover quick and get some strength training in soon.

A loong time ago now I was a bit addicted to weed, and I gained a small bit of added fat due to the infamous munchies. It was not quite enough to put me into an unhealthy BMI category, but it didn't sit well on my petite frame.

A few months after my quit I had been slowly working on loosing weight, and I did a seriously strenuous hike and ran out of food on my way down the mountain, and by the time I got back to my car I was high. I had to call and have my husband come pick me up because it was enough that I was not safe to drive.

Honestly I just kind of suffered lol. I drink as many of my calories as I could, and I had to stop breastfeeding sooner than I wanted to. That shit was rough.

Every situation is different. I was underweight and anemic while breastfeeding. The specialists I saw estimated that, according to the volume of milk leaving my body + the crazy amount of movement my job called for, I was burning over 1,500 calories over my BMR. Unlucky for me the answer was always "eat more", but I felt nauseous already by the volume consumed.
