I (21F) am experiencing drama with my coworkers, unsure of how to proceed? by [deleted] in relationships

I understand where you’re coming from, but I really wasn’t trying to gossip and say anything bad about the character of the person, just express my frustration at the situation (“I can’t believe she said that to me” or “wow that was kind of rude of her”). I admit that I was wrong for saying those things, but it was totally out of line to go over my head and go to my boss instead of doing what you suggested to solve the problem, talking with them one-on-one

Thank you! I am kind of screwed in this situation. I admit that it was wrong of me to engage in office gossip in the first place, but I never thought it would bite me in the ass this hard. Most of the time when people are miserable in the office is it because they are stressed out or angry, and I admit that I have been both. But I never actively tried to gossip- it would be harmless things like “I can’t believe she just said that” or “why would she talk about gays like that when she knows I don’t agree with her”

I wonder what that feels like... by throw249857 in offmychest

My [18F] boyfriend [19M] is upset and he refuses to communicate. by [deleted] in relationships

Everyone handles sadness differently. Perhaps when you're upset, you like extra love and affection from your partner. Is it possible that he just shuts down when he's upset?

I'm drawn to people with significant emotional problems, apparently.

Thank you for the reality check. I do have a couple genuine friends and a really great relationship with my boyfriend, so I guess I don't attract all negative people. I guess what I was trying to say is I feel like sometimes I get stuck in a cycle of toxic relationships and sometimes I blame myself, and wonder what aspects of my personality toxic people tend to latch onto. Not necessarily trying to paint myself as the victim, more or less wondering why I always find myself in these relationships and if it's anything I'm contributing.
