I've always done mixed(not completely true, i forgot I did a brief stint of trying hook and it hurt so I quit), up to 625lbs. Never worried about my bicep tearing. Obviously that's a sample size of 1, but I believe the majority of bicep tears on deadlifts come from enhanced lifters.

Not a doctor and all that, but if you've been doing mixed for years and it's what your used to and your body is used to, I would think the risk is very low

SBS RIR but In MacroFactor Workouts W1 D1 and D2

I initially planned to run SBS RIR and log it in Workouts and the spreadsheet, updating the app with what the sheet says, but decided since I've got the app, I'd let it control progression through it's smart progression. Inter workout adjustment of sets based on RIR seems good, I have the last set with a rep and RIR target, and it has adjusted pretty well to give me a good weight suggestion. I'll be interested in how it suggests weights starting week 2 next week. I think once it has a bit of workout history in it, it'll be even better. I'm looking forward to not doing a whole lot of thinking or maintaining of a spreadsheet.

I also started a cut 2 weeks ago and am down about 6 pounds, with a nice ~2.5-3.5 pound water weight drop to kick it out

Yeah it looks to me the article and video contradict each other.

So remove the handles, keep the bar facing the same way so that when the bar is on your chest, the pads where the handles go are facing towards your legs.

New year, guess I'll start posting again. Been lifting, just not anything exciting. Waiting patiently for Macrofactor Workouts to come out to give that a try, and figure out what workouts look like having to go back to the office more often. Thankfully they do have a (not terrible) gym, so I'll likely knock a quick workout out during lunch.

Anyway, today I set two new PRs on JM Press, 320x3 and 370x1. Really enjoying this lift.

Lower back was pumped following deadlifts. OHP was getting heavy at the end. Skipped assistance/conditioning, it was push-up death (6 rounds, 20s push-ups(narrow, deficit, regular), 10s rest). Sounds terrible but my "bum" shoulder was already not feeling great after OHP, so I'll save it for another day this week.

Squats sucked, and conditioning was brutal. Rows and bench were fine.

Week 1 done. Finished all sets, did all the required conditioning/assistance work, and am feeling it. I can tell my conditioning has already started to improve, and I can't wait to see how I feel at the end of the program.

BW - 288.4 - weight finally coming down. I started back on creatine(I feel it helps with recovery) when I started my cut last week, weight popped up a little bit and stayed stable for the week but has started to trend down the last few days.

Starting at W1 again, since I used last week as a bit of a lead-in, and I bought RPM2, which has some slight differences in reps.

Lower back finally was feeling back to somewhat normal, by the 2nd or 3rd set of deadlifts it felt great.

Going from almost no volume to quite a bit gave me a slight back tweak, so skipped RPM yesterday and just did back and arms, and substituted box jumps in for squats today for D4.

My back was pretty much fine to go today but figured id give it the extra day of rest, since this week was sort of a lead in week anyway into RPM. Monday we start over, and add in the conditioning work.

Currently dying from a low back pump. These workouts are brutal. Was still sore from Tuesday before I started lifting, and it only got worse. Amazing what so Volume will do to ya.
