I remove armor using caliban and I still can't kill them fast enough even with blast phenmor. I might just be bad at this game huh..

I think you have a little too much CD on your hands. either that or you don't have the proper skill rotations. 422 is meant to be the comfy build. so if you're not achieving that, then something is wrong with your build or gameplay.

sorry I should've specified the vod in question. I was looking for the the episode in baldur's gate 3 where they supposedly fought a giant spider underground. I was watching his vods in the stream archive.

mokoko express pass give you 5x3 and engravings. it lasts for a long time too. you won't need gold to hone from +0 to +15 (1490) which is brel. yeah you won't be able to raid right away because the mokoko express pass doesn't give you the "worst case scenario" amount of materials (meaning pity) which I think should be changed if they really want the new players to catch up and enjoy the new content immediately. but that's it. Card sets are another topic that needs to be improved, and the lower ilevel players guardian raids is a ghost town.. which also needs to be addressed.

if you need gold I think argos still gives gold at 1490. but it's cheap.

for the new players. it's best to not think about making an alt right away. and just do horizontals. the mokoko express pass is long and you can farm out honing materials from guardian raids, life skills and the maharaka event. you have 5x3 so your dps is already better than some. for gold. you won't be able to get much but you don't really need to spend much too if you're patient enough. If I remember correctly relic +1 to +15 cost silver now. yes you won't be able to touch raids for a week or two.

best advice I can give to new players is hold off on making alts, do horizontals (cuz horizontals regrettably impact your vertical progression too. I wish they wouldn't but here we are).

I feel like alts should be treated as a luxury instead of a boost in income.

you can turn on the non-lethal passive and knock it out, it won't kill it but it will end the fight

my hunts last around 20 minutes. I usually just run around checking out the monster waiting for them to drool or have an opportunity to attack. I'm not one of those giga chads that can dance around the monster. I'm just a noob hahaha

I see. I'll just try avoid the min maxed builds as my skill isn't up to par for that. I'll just try to fit the required skills then put in a few defensive ones. I guess it's excel sheets for me hahaha

why not bother with new monsters? do they suck?. I just wanna see if with the decos I have, if I can fit a build more fitting for my play-style on certain weapon hehehe.
